Hair Drezzers On Fire

I went here a few weeks ago on the advice of a friend. Stacy was having a great April special that included a free cut with color. Immediately I loved the look and feel of the salon. Very vintage yet edgy. Upon meeting Stacy and observing how attentive and knowledgeable she was when I explained my request I just knew I had the right girl for the job. It took some time as I was lifting from a level 5 brunette do to blond, but my full highlights were amazing. It looked so natural . When it came to the cut, I kid you not she was like an artist. She knew exactly what I wanted, with a little extra oomph. I have to say in all the years I have had my hair done, I have never walked out of a salon 100% happy until that day. I have received so many compliments and to be honest I don't think I will be going anywhere else. I highly recommend.

So you would think with a name like Hair Drezzers on Fire, the place would be gay friendly right? If not completely gay? LOL

No it is not.

I started to go there about a year ago when I moved to San Diego and was pleased with the haircuts from Sarah Vaughn.

Today, I was in a pinch and needed a haircut, I made an appointment online with JT Gordon who is one of the few stylists there that also cuts men's hair. I got a call about 2 hours before my appointment by the salon manager saying that Sarah had shared information about me to JT, and he did not feel comfortable cutting my hair. What???

Was it the fact that I was a young gay doctor who thought he was cute? Is that a reason to refuse to cut someones hair?

The manager said she could book me sometime next week with Sarah, but honestly after being refused a "haircut" for being "gay" or who knows what else, I decided to never go back there and spread the word about the these people.

The other reason this place deserved 1 star is the haughty attitude with ikea design. They are in the middle or Normal Heights and had a place slapped together like a college dorm. If you are going to be paying $55 dollars for a haircut, at least make the place nice.

Am I bitter? Yes, have never been really felt discrimination in San Diego until I went there. Funny with a name like "Hair Dressers on Fire" you would think Normal Heights Pride was based out of there.

This place was fantastic! Even get to, great staff, great value, and they do a great job on hair. I really can't thank you enough. I absolutely love the new style and how it complements my looks. You guys did great.

I am very picky for one so If I took the time to get on here and share, check it out! lol No really I highly recommend this place. I randomly walked in and was welcomed as if I had an app. Kacie was my stylist and a very sweet gal. I wish she could shampoo my hair everyday, her scalp massage felt sooo good! =)
The best part was my final look of course, Thank you Kacie I lovelovelove my cut! You truly exceeded my expectations See ya soon girlie!

Victoria is awesome with hair color and highlights! I went to go get all over red highlights and maybe later to get it all red. She did my hair exactly like how I pictured it! No other stylists could do what she did; she spent her time on my hair and finished a good quality of work I get stopped everywhere I go they say they love my hair where do you go? I go to hair dressers on fire baby!!! to see victoria!!!!! Thanks victoria!!!
