Went to this place for a good steak and a few drinks with some hockey buddies from college. Little did I know I was about to have one of the best steaks of my life. Make sure you get the blue cheese crumbles on top, delicious... It kind of turned into a cougar bar around 9-10pm, which I am in no way complaining about... A bit pricey if you order $150 bottles of wine all night, other than that a great value for your fine steak connoisseur.

My partner and I went there for Valentine's Day because of the reviews we read on kudzu. We were looking for a great filet and we were 100% satisfied. We have been to several other steak places in the Atlanta area and this is now by far our favorite. Will for sure go back, hands down the best!!!!

If you are looking for a cooked to perfection filet this is the place to go. They have an amazing wine menu to go with it. Their crabs and oysters are always the freshest in town.

This is THE place to go for filet mignon. Other must-haves are the osso bucco, creamed spinach and barbant blue cheese potatoes. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a great evening out with friends. As compared to Chops, Prime and Rathbun Steak, the food is better and the prices are more affordable. The live music at the piano bar adds a "rat-pack" type feel to this small gem of a restaurant.

This is the type of place that you don't stumble upon. The steaks are fantastic, if a bit pricey. The atmosphere is nice. Not the type of place for a casual meal, it is the type of place best used for special occasions. The staff is very professional and the service matches the atmosphere.

We found the food at Hal's to be really delicious. My husband says the filets are as good as any he has eaten all over the US. The fish is also great.

I was excited about eating here b/c I had heard great things, but I thought it was very overrated. The food was just mediocre (my husband agreed and he had the steak) and the prices were too high. I was disappointed and will not be back.

You won't find a better tasting filet in town. It melts in your mouth. Try it Oscar style - the crab meat and the hollandaise sauce are awesome. The creamed Spinach is awesome too. You can't go wrong here.

Sure, the drinks are poured heavily and the steak is the best in town- but have your tried Hal's osso bucco, snapper franchaise w/crabmeat, crab salad, duck, sea bass, rack-of lamb, yumm. I've been a regular for seems like 10 years now and have tried it all.

Read all the reviews here and other places and I have to tell you, it was just ok. My steak was good, but not the best in Atlanta by a far shot. Service was yet again, ok and the chairs are hard as a rock.I know this is an age old place with lots of history, but for the $100 for two without drinks, you can do better. If you want a "Great" steak, then drive to Cumming and go to Cabernet!

Hal's has the best steak in Atlanta, hands down. The service is always fantastic! They pour stout drinks at the bar, there is always a fun crowd and the food is always amazing. The only drawback is that it can get a little noisy with all the people. If this will bother you - ask to be seated in the front room. Problem solved. They also have a piano lounge singer that is quite the crowd pleaser. He takes requests and will even stop his show to sing you happy birthday. The valets are always attentive and courteous. Hal's is always a guarenteed good night out. Continue to keep it a secret... Don't just send anyone there. Send a close friend.
