I was in really bad shape from a serious rugby injury. Dr. Rick put me back together, and years later I still feel great. I consider him to be the ultimate professional in his field, and trust no one else in treating my knee ailments.

I have used Dr. Weil and Dr. Hammesfahr (several times) for my teenage son, who plays a lot of rough contact sports. Dr. Weil repaired a broken wrist, and Dr. Hammesfahr treated him for knee pain and a series of ankle injuries due to him having an immature growth plate. In every case, I believe the diagnoses and treatment plans were spot-on. While I agree with the first reviewer that they aren't all cuddly, I felt they were friendly in an appropriate manner. Frankly, I'm not at the surgeon's office for cuddles; I'm there for superior treatment, and you get that at Dr. Hammesfahr's office. Additionally, they appear to be using some state-of -the-art technology for recording the details of your visit, so I'm happy if they want to talk in a recorder. Whatever gets the best results.

I have heard that Dr. Hammesfahr does successful knee surgery, but my first appt (and last) was disappointing. Long wait, unfriendly front office staff, the doctor saw me after 2 hours and spoke into dictating recorder and nurse and barely spoke to me. Answered my questions brusquely. Nurse or assistant was impatient showing me some exercises that were painful. I was upset after the appt, and I am going to go elsewhere.

Very efficient office. Caring staff. High volume, popular practice. Dr Weil and Dr Hammesfahr share a practice. Each doctor specializes - one on arms and hands and the other on feet and legs. The office is full of autographed pictures from musicians, athletes, and stars they have cared for. I've used both doctors twice over the years. They know what they're doing.

Dr. Hammesfahr has treated several orthapedic problems of mine over the years. The most recent one involved surgery on an Achilles Tendon. His attention to detail, and insistence on proper follow up care really made the outcome of the procedure great!
