We have been using them for the past half year or so. They did everything from fixing our garage opener to painting our windows. They are very diligent, have an excellent attitude, and are completely reliable. For example, we had an emergency leak with our toilet and they were at our home within 10 minutes. We just sold our home and will really miss them. Thanks so much guys. -Rima & Faraz

Needed them for 4 minor fixes before putting my house on the market. Ceph (husband of husband/wife duo) is a poor communicator. Elaine was pleasant and agreed to a price negotiation over the phone from original estimate. Both came by the next day and did most of the repairs agreed, but the spot repair on a wall (sand/mud/paint) was done very poorly. Mud wasn't sanded enough (still a "hump") and paint didn't match. Bathroom mirror didn’t get molding as agreed and they didn’t bother telling me. They also left a huge white spray paint spot on my lawn! I called and spoke with Ceph on the phone the next day and mentioned the issues. Ceph got VERY aggressive and told me I was "lucky to have gotten such a good deal," told me he was p*ssed off, and hung up the phone. Seriously? When your partner agrees to do XYZ for a fixed price, regardless of whether you like it or not, you honor that or don't begin the work. When you're done, give the customer the respect of hearing their complaint and making sure they're happy so that they don't have to resort to giving you public scrutiny for your emotional issue. If you choose them, negotiate with Elaine only and get your negotiation (if needed) in writing. My trust for these people and paying before the work was approved bit me in the a**. My bad! I was also told “it won’t prevent the house from being sold”…

Scott, I felt the need to reply to your post.First the orig price was for painting entire bedroom and mudding a spot on the wall. Also to take down 3fixtures spray paint (trying to save you money),frame the entire mirror, take carpet off steps and paint and patch the tub.You called the next day saying, you didn't have the money but would like a deal and could we just patch the wall and paint that spot, fix tub and fixtures, and only put trim on bottom of mirror for $150.00 (labor only) which didn't include materials. I did agree. After taking the carpet off the steps we found that there were 1" gaps on each side and someone had filled with foam insulation. We called you to explain the problem and that the steps would need to be replaced and would cost an additional $80 which is still a deal. I did spray the 3 fixtures in your yard (the spot was very small and will disappear when you mow), we replaced the steps and painted, mudded the wall and painted the spot.It is very difficult to match the paint without a previous mfg or can. The mirror trim did not happen. After looking at the mirror it would not look right with just a piece of trim across the bottom. We spent over $60.00 in materials (which we paid for). I believe this review was very unfair of you. I did hear the phone conversation and know exactly what was said. We agreed to fix the wall until you went off again about the paint color and questioning our integrity. Best of luck to you. Elaine

Wow, my experience could not be more different from the previous reviewer's in 2009. I hired Elaine and Ceph to paint several rooms in my new home, and for a few minor handyman tasks in my previous home before converting it to a rental property. The work was great, the pricing was great, and I could not be happier. The painting job was also flawless, and involved several coats. I am recommending them all over the place!

While they're available to do the work, you can certainly do the same quality work if you have the time. Hired them for a variety of jobs and was unsatisfied on nearly all of them. They are very nice people and the work they do stands up to a quick glance (which is why I foolishly paid in full) but on closer inspection, it revealed a lack of pride in the job. Start with the good stuff, I had them replace a handrail on my stairs, it's very sturdy and looks pretty good. It wasn't sanded so the feel is rough. Baseboards were cut and mitered well. Other jobs: painting was particularly bad. Dark wood, baseboards and closet doors were given a single coat of paint and looked atrocious. Paint found on sheets, dishes, appliances: not little drops, big swipes. Press and stick flooring amateurishly accomplished with large gaps and lifting from the floor. Ceiling fans seemed good at the outset but when one went down, they couldn't locate the problem and I'll have to call an electrician to correct the situation. Regardless of what I made a comment on, the response was the same, "It won't keep someone from buying your house." That may be true but I am deeply dissatisfieed in the quality of work. Work bid on, they never came back to do(another reason I paid, I expected they would return to finish). When I called to have the broken fan examined (3 weeks later) they remembered but, by then, we had fixed ourselves. Buyer beware with this outfit.
