Very prompt and professional service from their carpenter,Dan. He was early to the appointment, gave me a fair price and quickly did the work. He even went shopping for me at Lowes and I only paid the cost of materials. Great job.

UPdate 08/09 Phone Call - Someone had the nerve to call to offer past customers a coupon! I told them they did a crappy job and I would not use them again. UPdate 3/09 Letter Returned - "Unable to forward" 11/08 I have never hired anyone to do anything. I hired this company because I didn't have the time to do a small project. Their quote was just a little higher than I wanted to pay, but not too much to argue about. They did schedule someone to come out and quote promptly, and he arrived early. He seemed to know what he was talking about. When we scheduled the work, he arrived on time. I did have most of the materials here for him. The job took longer than it should have. The items installed had to be adjusted by yours truly after the job was done. Some major, some minor. Major, was things chronically being the wrong size. More than 1/8" off, but often just 1/16". And backwards locks on a closet. Not good. The most disappointing thing was I discovered there was no sanding, no hole filing, and no taping prior to priming and painting my job. There was NO prep work whatsoever. This should have been standard. I learned to never call someone when you are capable of doing the job yourself, even if you think you don't have time. I really wanted this to work out, because I have never hired anyone to do work that I am capable of doing before. Unfortunately, I will not hire them again. Also - did not answer 2 letters. Total disappointment.

I called them because I had a long list of things I needed done. They were professional in setting up the appointment and confirming. Sent out someone that appeared to be very professional. Went over my long list of things. Said he would submit to the company to obtain quote and I never heard back from anyone!

My experience with the Handyman Connection office in College Park was not good. I hired them to put a laminate floor. They charged too much money and failed to back up their labor warranty. The laminate floor was damaged in the installation by the handyman for his use of inappropriate tools. I'll never hire them again.

Love the communication and followup, did not feel like I was ignored like most contractors leave you, stranded. Someone in office 5 days a week, always a friendly voice. Made appointment the same day and worker was on time and was clean cut. Work was reasonably priced and paid for my own materials so I know that no extra expense was added!!! Did not leave a mess, looked like they had never been there....will use again....

I am new to Atlanta (and the US) and had been warned about shoddy workmanship. The service I received from HC was excellent. A personal service, realistically priced and the finish is first class. I had my whole house repainted internally, some carpentry done and a new worktop put on in the kitchen. Many friends have remarked on the excellent standard of finish. I'll be using them as long as I am in Atlanta

Good communication regarding appointment. The quote was reasonable, but the work was not acceptable. My small job was to hang a lamp...not too complicated. However, it took almost 2 hours for a slipslod job. The ground wire was not connected and the entire installation had to be re-done by a family friend.

Master Craftsman my "Aunt Fanny"!!! Workman was 3 hours late both days. Poor quality of work. Left a HUGE mess on my front porch for 3 days (until WE cleaned it up. When we complained, the owner/boss came out to inspect the work and was defensive of the craftsman even when presented with evidence/pictures that the man didn't do a good job. His "attempt" at "making things right" was ludicrous! Double coupons off future work? Forget it! Expensive lesson learned but lesson learned non-the-less. Will NEVER use HC connection again and have told ALL of my friends and co-workers! (and now Atlanta!)

When they first started, I couldn't get a enough of Handyman Connection. I thought they offered great services at a fair price. Now it seems that they charge the same if not more as other contractors. Your best bet is to DIY or just be willing to shell out big bucks!
