The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Beside the fact that it took over a month for a representative to call me back, once I finally did receive that call, the gentlemen was extremely rude. He did not have any concern with the fact that I have been contacting them over a month (phone and email), and told me that they will run their office as they please. This goes without saying that I would never refer anyone to their horseback services.

I would like to concur with all of the previous stated facts as well as he charges a $40 gratuity due before you take the tour! Wow who does that? Well we soon found out why. There was inclement weather and even thought I called several times to confirm if we were still going to go out or if we needed to re-schedule no answer or return call. Against my better judgment We went out to the hidden location to find a what seemed to be poorly nourished man on a horse waiting. I inquired about the weather and assured me it would pass. 45 minutes later we had not left the barn and he was expecting a different set of victims at 8:00. I inquired about just a refund of my gratuity and he stated that he had no control of mother nature! Wow I remind you that we were suppose to get a couple of glasses of Sangria to end the what was to be romantic evening NOT! The only libation that was present was the rain water running from the hole in the roof of the barn. What a disastrous outing. What did this cost me: 45 minute drive $40 Gratuity $40 Living Social Coupon 2 Glasses of Sangria 1 Malnutritioned Guide Total Loss $300

I agree with the other poster who purchased the Groupon. I too purchased one and called repeatedly to get information and schedule. After two weeks I finally got a call.with a WHOLE lot of attitude. I personally do NOT care HOW busy you are.I am the customer and if one calls, you should have the respect and call back. These are your potential customers. When you act as if you are doing us a favor, you failmiserably. When you give attitude when we have already spent the money, you will lose because we tell all of our friends. There are plenty of other horse instruction places around. This place MIGHT have Horsemanship.but NOT customer service....

My husband and I used a Travelzoo coupon this past weekend and had a fabulous experience. The 1 hours experience was the perfect amount and we got to tour the grounds of their new location which has breathtaking views. The horses were well trained rescues and I cannot think of one negative aspect about the day. We are looking forward to going again in the fall!

I purchased an online coupon for a 1 hour ride for 2 people. I have tried multiple times to contact him via phone and text message (his voice mail says to please text him) and he has never contacted me back. Hopefully I can get my money back from the coupon company. I would not recommend trying to deal with this company.

Bought Vouchers - phoned and reserved through his reservation site. Kids went up to ride - NO ONE showed up. Called repeatedly no response. Kids knocked on neighbors door - was told this was common place. RUN do not try to ride!

I really, really wish that I could say something nice about this but there is nothing redeeming at all. Upon arriving there was no one to be found. Seriously, no one. Anywhere. We just stood around and watched as more and more people showed up. When someone finally arrived it was explained that not all of us could ride. He was the owner, Ryan, and had some sort of scheduling issue. Upon people being selected to ride, we were all informed about a mandatory gratuity of 18%, $40. Important note, 18% of the original $200 value is not $40. But frankly, after having heard him screaming at the other people who weren't selected to ride that day, we paid it. The ride is beyond short. Advertised was an hour lesson and one hour trail ride. The trail ride was 20 minutes. From exiting the gate to entering - 20 minutes. So even using a Groupon deal and paying $35 for the two of us, plus the $40 mandatory gratuity, it was $75 for a 20 minute ride. Pretty crappy deal. Though Ryan, the owner, is likely a great horseman, he is a horrible businessman and really should consider utilizing some form of customer service and delivering what he is promising. I would strongly caution anyone who is considering going here to look elsewhere. The ride was definitely not a $199 value by any stretch of the imagination and not even worth the $75 we spent. Reservations are difficult and overbooked. He has no sense of accommodation and as he will offer no refunds it's pretty much a losing situation.

I purchased a Travelzoo $29 coupon for $99 sunset horse ride with sangria. Within 24 hours I went to the website and scheduled an appointment according to the calender linked to the Harmony Natural Horsemanship website. The day of my horse ride I text the owner to confirm my appointment. A second text was sent 30 minutes later and a phone call again requesting confirmation. 40 minutes before my appointment a reply from the owner, "no confirmation, waiting on ferrier." I immediately replied with a picture of my conformation page from his website since I was already in route to the horse barn which was a good 2 hours drive. I arrived on time to the location which was locked and empty. No horses and no staff on site. I left the owner another voicemail and sent a text requesting compensation for the waste of gas and trip. I received a phone call 2 hours after my appointment apologizing for the "mix up" but that reply wasnt satisfactory. I have since requested a refund from Travelzoo.

Run away now! Ryan is a scam artist! We booked a ride with him last May for September over the phone. When I called to confirm our appointment on the Monday before our ride (as he instructed), he said our group was not in his online reservation system. I reminded him that we booked over the phone 4 months ago, and he again said, we were not in his system. After a couple minutes, he admitted he just recently spent a lot of money putting an online rsvp system in place. How recently, I asked? In the last 2 months! I again reminded him I booked 4 months ago...prior to this expensive new system. Instead of apologizing, he went on to tell me how much money he spent on a new building, hiring a new secretary/riders, and get new horses. After 20 seconds, I asked, "Why are you telling me all this? I just want to know if the 4 of us can ride this Saturday." He said he was all booked but how about Wednesday? I said we all work full-time jobs so it won't work. He said, "Oh well...guess you gotta book online." What professional says, "Oh Well?" to a customer. I didn't have much of a choice because we had 4 vouchers expiring soon. I booked that same day. The next day, I called to confirm with Ryan. After leaving over 6 voice mails over the course of a month. He never returned one single phone call. I got a refund from Deal Swarm without an issue for my troubles. If you want to ride with a scam artist, Ryan (proud owner) at Horse N Harmony is the one! Run away now!

We bought 8 vouchers from half-off depot. Two of us went once and then 6 of us at another time. We were able to book without any trouble, but it was supposed to be 1 hour lesson and 1 hour trail ride. He talked so much there was hardly any time. After 20 minutes, we saw the horses, after 10 more, went in the stalls with them, waited around 20 for him to get each of them out so we could walk them to the ring, we stood around and walked with them for 20 or 30 more. Then he helped each of us mount and we proceeded to walk one circle around a pasture. That 15 minutes constituted the 1 hour trail ride!! He finished early saying it was too dark. (He moved our time a half hour later than originally scheduled.) He just wants to tell stories. The horses are not well trained. Several of them were easily spooked. BIG RIP OFF! We asked if we could come back to get the trail ride. He refused. Oh, and before we started he required a $20 per person GRATUITY!!!Now I understand why he requires it up front, we would NEVER have tipped on such a BAD experience! We told him we were not happy and wanted to give him the opportunity to make it right. He didn't care. The 2 of us who went earlier had a similar experience with the group they were with.

Well after reading the other reviews here, I really wish I had thought to research this business before purchasing a voucher from "Half Off Depot.com" for a riding lesson and trail ride. I too like many others here have not been able to get this business to respond to phone messages left or emails sent, regarding booking my lesson. I then thought I had finally got a booking by using the business's online scheduling tool and received a confirmation via email only to have that appt cancelled 2 days later with no explanation, apology or offer of an alternative day. So I will be seeking a refund from Half Off this coming Monday.

I bought an online facebook deal in July. When I tried to book online, everything was booked until October. I received a confusing email several weeks ago asking me to reschedule my booking. I have called several times, sent emails and received no response. I am not willing to make the trip without confirmation. I would not recommend this business to anyone!

I honestly don't know why so many people on this site have had so many problems. We used our Facebook deal, made our reservation online, spoke with him on the phone before and had a great experience learning and riding. Ryan was such a nice guy and he took time and effort to pick the best horses for my wife and me. I recommend riding with Ryan anytime. And no, I am not a plant, but an actual customer who redeemed an actual Facebook deal and had an actual good time.

bought 2 lessons from dealswarm for this joker. scheduled them and today received an email saying the class had been canceled. called to find out why and ryan says, "I only answered the phone because I thought you were lost." I was shocked...and before I could ask if he was going to call me back later...he hangs up. This guy hangs up the phone on a customer...WOW. Do NOT buy from him unless you just feel like throwing money away or giving a charitable contribution to a JERK.
