My 17 yr old son needs to have all four of his wisdom teeth taken out. One of them is actually growing sideways. Our regular dentist referred us to Dr Hatfield in early Jan. First of all our consultation appointment was rescheduled twice. When we finally did make it there for the apt. as I was sitting in the waiting room I couldn't help but over hear Dr Hatfield questioning the insurance type of several patients. If comments are going to be made about the money received for proceedures, that should not be discussed with other patients around. Perhaps our dental insurance wasn't up to par because it has been almost 2 weeks since the consultation and I have yet to hear of a date for the surgery. I have called and left messages twice but have heard NOTHING! If my son had an infection or pain that required more than over the counter meds I would be even more irrate that I am now. After getting other recommendations I have since scheduled him with another, more responsible and reliable dentist. Who, by the way, has kindly agreed to waive the fees for additional x-rays because our insurance is not going to pay for them again.
