I have shopped at Havertys for several decades and have always been pleased with the quality of the furniture. This store is much more friendlier than some of Haverty's other stores I've been to where the salespeople won't even acknowledge you if they've prejudged your appearance as not being a serious shopper (that happened to me a couple of years ago at the Charleston SC, Rivers Ave, Havertys store). This time I stopped in at Cobb Pkwy to get the matching Armoire for my bedroom suite since it was on sale. The salesman was very courteous and friendly when I purchased my piece and also managed to get a small discount on the delivery charge. The delivery schedule was confirmed via email and on time. I was very pleased with the whole purchase and delivery experience from this Atlanta store and certainly pleased with my quality furniture. Oh, as far as that other store in Charleston, I filed a complaint with corporate, located here in Atlanta, and did get a written apology from that store manager. So I went down and purchased the bedroom suite from them. Haverty's makes a decent effort of making sure their customers are satisfied.

Friendly and can by pushy, but they are professional and I'm happy with my purchases. I wish their delivery charge was better but I love the quality and overall experience I had.

Haverty's is an okay home store. The sales people are a bit pushy; they've got to be on one hundred percent commission. As soon as you walk in they're like vultures. If you can get away from them, you may actually find some nice accents in the midst of the heavily traditional furniture. I don't care much for the furniture as it is all the same style, but the accessories are worth taking a peak.
