We moved to AZ in July 2011 and bought a 1998 house with original AC units. We found a 2 year maintenance deal on Kudzu and have had great services from them ever since! They call us every 6 months to schedule the next maintence visit which helps with our busy lifestyle. Our old AC units have been working flawlessly no doubt to the great visits from Hays!

We purchased a 20 year old condo in Scottsdale AZ in May 2011. A home inspector said there may be some minor maintenance issues but the realtor felt a further inspection was warranted and recommended Hays. Hays came out and used the HOA required 32 foot ladder to inspect and make the recommendation that the unit wasn't worth fixing due to the age and condition. We were able to negotiate this into the offer on the property to get partial compensation of a new unit rather than repair an aging unit. Residing in Canada, made access and monitoring work in AZ a challenge. Hays was more than accommodating in making the replacement easy for us, providing updates, access and scheduling that worked for us, our local contacts and the condo association. After the major dust storm in July 2011, Hays came out with their long ladder and blew out the unit at no charge. In July 2012, they came out and did another inspection, again at no charge. I would highly recommend Hays Cooling & Heating for any absentee owners. Their work is top notch, prompt and they stand behind their products and service. Peter & Lori Campbell

When I had my A/C unit inspected, I was quoted a price on insulation. As part of the price, Hays agreed to cap and remove my Evap cooler, which I had never used. Scheduled first appt. and was stood up! I was floored! But they were right on time for the second appt. and got the job done in a about an hour, in the middle of 110 degree heat. But then, they forgot to cap and remove the cooler! Called the office immediately and they were back out to finish the job! I still like these guys and will use them again. But, if you are going to use Hays for a job, I recommend the following, based on my experience - First, always call and confirm your appt. and what work is being done. Second, keep an eye out to make sure that everything gets done. Otherwise, these are good people.

My air conditioner was dying a slow death in April 2012 so I called four companies for quotes on replacement including Hays. They were the first to give me a quote, they were the only ones to measure room by room to make sure we got the right unit. Their pricing was right in the ballpark as the others. They were on time for the install which was the quickest offered. The unit was installed in three hours as promised. My unit works perfectly. Try as I might, and I'm a rough critic, I have not a negative thing to say about the service I received from Hays. I highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Chris Hays.
Thanks for posting! I'm glad you mentioned about us measuring room by room. This is a very important part of the estimating process. So many times people call the office wanting us to provide them with an estimate over the phone. Unfortunately, that's just not how it works. We need to be on site; there are several factors / variables that go into providing an estimate. We want to be absolutely sure we can stand behind our pricing.
There's a reason why dozens of customers submit glowing reviews for a vendor; because it's earned and deserved. I am fresh from having Hays Cooling and Heating install a new complete split system, and I could not be more pleased with the entire process. I replaced a 20-year old original to the home system, and shopped it around. I received a competitive bid from Hays, a salesman who was willing to put everything in writing, a firm and upheld install date/time/completion, and an overall first class job. The crew were courteous, professional, friendly, respectful of my home and belongings, and took the time to explain any questions or concerns I had during the install. There was not one issue that arose that was a surprise or a disappointment. I additionally had the pleasure of having the owner drop by to check in on the installation, and if you met him, you would understand why this company succeeds and continues to dominate the local HVAC market. Business ethics stem from the top, and it's clear this shop lives a mission statement of honesty, integrity, customer service and quality. Highly recommended. :D

The entire experience was EXCELLENT!!! From the first initial call, to the quote that was provided by Bill, everyone was professional and provided great customer service. Bill worked with us to provide a very competitive quote which allowed us to purchase top quality units. The installation team was punctual, organized, friendly and very competent. Chris the owner even showed up to ensure we were happy with everything! The follow up call by the office and visit by Bill to complete our rebate paperwork was the icing on the cake! After dealing with a failing Air Conditioner it was time for a new install. I was concerned after having a poor install by another company but after reading the great reviews on Kudzu and the clean record on the BBB I decided to try Hays. What a great decision! Bill who provided the estimate was great! The technitions that performed the install were great and did a fantastick job. The owner of the company Chris came by and checked the progress of the install and introduced himself. I am very happy with the install and the Trane XL15I air conditioner. I recommend Hays to anyone considering a new Air Conditioning install or service.

2-21-12 Installed SEER 13 Heat/AC pump 8-14-12 not cool air, replaced compressor motor. 9-15-12 not cooling, overload of coolant 2-14-13 not heat, not part available, meeting rep 02-18-13 to see whats up. 2-18-13 AC defective, replace same day. Thank you Hays and especially Bill for everything.

I've waited a few weeks before writing this review just to make sure everything went well and it has. I originally got three bids to completely replace our HVAC system. Bill the sales rep was very knowledgeable and what he said was delivered. The crew that came in for the installation was professional and did a great job. I am a picky guy and would use them again with out reservation. The Trane KL20i system is awesome. Thanks Hayes for making the whole process a pleasant one.

Came home from 4th of July holiday weekend to one of two units not working. Chris was out 1st thing the next morning and had it up and running in no time. Also took an after-hours call when my daughter's condo had water leakage through bathroom ceiling from plugged lines. Gave advice to get by until he came out to fix it the next day. The Hays truly understand customer service. I highly recommend them!!!
