The doctors and staff at Heart of Suwanee Animal Hospital love my dog so much when we bring him in for treatment. They make us feel like we are the most important customers they've ever had. They offer an excellent service at an affordable price.

I am going to make sure, I reach as many people as I can in the Suwanee area. I do not recommend this Vet. to my worst enemy.. They don't give a darn about your animal, All they care about is how much money they can make. I promised I would tell everyone in Suwanee the experience I had with this so called vet. basically they held my dogs thyroid medicine hostage until, I brought him in for yet another appointment, because he had just had his blood work done in July, He was on his last pill, something he has been taking for the last two years, that he has to have everyday for the rest of his life and they refused to refill it, until he came in and had a physical, even though they knew he was down to his last pill, they did nothing to try and get him some pills until, I could get him in for yet another physical that has nothing to do with his thyroid medicine.. I am also going to report this vet to the veterinarian association.....

My cat had UTI and Dr.Jackson prescribed antibioitic for my pet however that didnt work so i researched and found out cranberry powder fights urinary infection and gave it my pet which worked so well, my cat had no trouble peeing after it. seeing how cranberry work better than antibiotic i am doubtful of how Dr. Jackson prescibe medication.. Also when you go for annual exam, they wont let you stay with your pet during the whole time which i think is RIDICULOUS! They "take" your pet to another room just for a vaccination! Because as a pet owner, i know that my cat feels much safer when i am around!

Dr. Golden had a great bed-side manner but long story short...3rd week battling Parvo. Went to a new Vet and he couldn't believe the lack of care that was provided. Our puppy lost 15% of his body weight in 2 days and it was shrugged off here. They wouldn't even double check his weight when I asked multiple times. I took him the next morning to my new vet. He was hospitalized immediately and stayed for 5 days. His 5 day stay was $50 less than his 24 hour stay here. My new vet also had a Dr there from 7am-10pm.

Dr. Jackson treated my small dog for heart worms, which can potentially be life threatening. He successfully treated my dog with none of the complications one fears; he was extremely caring and compassionate. We bring all three of our dogs to Dr. Jackson and live south of Atlanta. He and his staff are more than worth the trip! Definitely recommend him to any who want quality care for your animals.

I have been very happy with everyone at the Heart of Suwanee Animal Hospital. The Doctor is friendly and helpful. He also offers sufficient time to examine your pet and talk with you about what is going on.

DO NOT take your pet to "Heart of Suwanee animal hospital" My dog and I had the worst experience for his annual vaccination and tests. For some stupid reason they did not allow me to be with my dog and they just took him inside. Soon as my dog happily walked in with the technician and turned the corner in the hall way I hear my dog yelping. I asked the receptionist what was going on and asked her to go check. She lied saying that it wasn't my dog and it was another dog waking up from anesthesia. You think I wouldn't know my dog's voice?? Yelping continued. And I told her to bring my dog back. The technician brought my dog back saying he's already got his vaccinations and tests. I asked again why they didn't allow me back there and what was all that yelping about. She goes, "We don't want your dog to bite you and sue us. And we were just trying to put him up on a scale and put muzzle on him." I told her that my dog is a certified therapy dog and doesn't need restraining. And that the woman waiting behind me went in with her dog. She said she will go in and check. She came back and said "I'm sorry. She shouldn't be inside." From day one we got our dog we taught him to trust and love people. Heart of Suwanee animal hospital screwed that up BIG time. People who doesn't care for animals and don't know how to handle them shouldn't be running a vet. Period.

I took my dog in for entropion surgery. They quoted me a price 100 dollars more than the original quote on the day of surgery after they had taken my dog back. When I brought my dog home they didn't give her any pain medicine except Metacam which is an athritis medicine equivalent to Advil. About 4 hours after I arrived home I had to take my dog to get stronger pain meds. Twelve days later while Dr. Jackson took out the stitches, my dog pulled back (what a surprise) and Dr. Jackson ripped open her surgical site. He charged me to repair his mistake. I contacted the office several times over a two week period to try and get the charges reversed. I was passed around until the Owner Dr. Hall sent me an ugly e-mail telling me not to come to his clinic anymore, refused my refund, and to remove the new stitches that were put in to fix Dr.Jackson mistake. I had to take my dog to another vet and pay to have the stitches removed. I am out several hundred dollars more than the original surgery cost. They don't have after hours care either. When your pet has surgery after 6:00PM you are on your own. If there are any problems you have go to an emergency vet and pay more. If you want Dr. Jackson to rip your dogs face and make you pay extra to restitich it and get an ugly e-mail from the owner threatening to sue you, after getting a 2 week run around this is the place for you! If you love your pet like I do, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO HEART OF SUWANEE. It is a nightmare

My 4 year old went in for a typical grooming, and I was told he had an ear infection. Agreed to have vet look at him, prescribed medications, without giving any warnings on side effects. Important side effects, like going deaf. I noticed after approx 4 days on the medication, he was not responding to noise, but thought he was just recovering from infection. His ears were healthy looking. Took him back to the vet today, out of concern that he continues not to respond to noise, and doctor Tim Jackson said it was a rare side effect. I should have been told before using this product that it "could" cause deafness. It's not acceptable to prescribe a medication, without full disclosure. I'm sure there are plenty of products out there could have cleared up an ear infection without the risk of going deaf. I would never put ear drops in a child knowing it "could" cause deafness. I trusted my vet, and shouldn't.

I scheduled a pet dental cleaning for $98. When I brought in my pet, the fee was now $355. After going thru the invoice, the amount came to $123. There was a lot of up selling of items that was not needed If the fee is to be more than the advertised price, then that should be told as it is scheduled. I then scheduled a pet grooming only to be told that a heart worm test is needed. This was just done in December 2012 but was told it was needed again. Went to another animal hospital and another test was not needed. Will not be returning due to the hidden fees.

I moved to the area earlier this year and with 3 dogs, finding a vet was a priorty. Heart of Suwanee was recommended to me by a coworker and they have been great to work with. Over the Thanksgiving weekend we had our first emergency and luckily they were open on Saturday morning. They were able to see my dog right away without making an appointment or having to pay the huge fees of an emergency vet. My dog lost part of an ear and Dr. Golden gave us several options (one of which was do nothing other than antibiotics), but we chose to have it stitched up. I felt no pressure either way, but chose the stitches in case my other dogs got rowdy with her and I didn't want it to start bleeding again. Now almost 2 weeks later, her ear healed great with no infection and the price was better than I thought it was going to be. I've seen some bad reviews on this website for Heart of Suwanee, so I felt compelled share my good experiences with them. The staff has always been very friendly when we've been in and I feel good trusting the health of my dogs to them.

I will not be taking my dogs back to this vet ever again. I have gone there several times with both of my dogs over the past year hoping that it would get better, but it didn't. They have good prices on vaccines and spay/neutering, but I guess you get what you pay for. My last experience with them was awful. They failed to inform me of so many things which then limited my decision making on the treatment of my dog and resulted in a big mess. If I had known the proper information prior to the treatment then I could have made a much better decision on the treatment of my dog. I am very unhappy with how I was treated and how my dog was treated and will never be going back. If you do take your pets here, just be sure to ask a lot of questions and make sure you're well informed.
