My cousin is in Helping Hand and has been for approximately 15 years. The staff at Helping Hand has been extraordinary in that time, taking care of him in every aspect. I know how difficult that must be considering the number of clients they have, many of them very hard to handle. The patience the staff put forth is absolutely incredible. At one point, my cousin had to be placed in a hospital needing surgery for a bowel obstruction and was touch and go for some time. I noticed that every time I or someone in my family made the trip to the hospital someone from Helping Hand was there, on their own time. No one asked these girls to be there but they were, without pay. Katie and Jackie could not be more helpful, calling me daily with updates and being sincerely concerned about mu cousin, I could never thank them enough for what they did. The staff at Helping Hand should all be commended and not disrespected, they are the best. They do their best with what they have. John Kozin

Staff here is treated with incredible disrespect from their "superiors". Salaries are below a liveable wage for college graduates. Most employees are barely making it between paying back loans and rent(most have to share an apartment). If that weren't bad enough the executive director is verbally abusive and only gives feedback when he is angry about something. He fired an employee for insubordination simply because they brought to his attention lack of airconditioning in a 14 passenger van!!
