Competitive Rate and Good Quality, 9/11/2006

I hired Helping Son to install outdoor lighting, replace rotted outdoor wood and paint the replacement wood. His estimate was free, his $42 per hour rate was the best Iíve found, there was no travel... charge, he charged me for the actual cost of supplies (no mark-up), and the owner never charged for his time when traveling to and from the hardware store to purchase supplies. In addition, he worked at what seemed to be a normal pace. In other words, he didnít work slowly so that he could charge more. The owner completed the work I hired him to do in five hours, so the total price was $210 for labor, plus $21 for the actual cost of supplies (wood and paint). He did a good job at a great price, and I'd recommend him to others.
