My wife has been diagnosed with lung cancer by Dr. Henderson. He took the time to explain, in layman's terms I might add, what the chemo treatments will involve and what the long range outlook has in store for her. I find him to be a breath of fresh air and wish all doctors had the same compassion for their patients.

Dr. Henderson has been my Hematologist for 12 years. Dr. Henderson always takes time with you and truly cares about your health and you as a person. He does not run unnecessary tests and is very conservative in your treatment. Dr. Henderson allows you to be an equal partner in your care.

Dr. Henderson treated my brother forlung cancer several years ago. While receiving treatment, my brother suffered a massive stroke (carotid artery blockage) and ultimately had to be placed in a nursing home. Dr. Henderson was professional, kind, and compassionate. He even came to the nursing home to see my brother once at no charge. Where do you get that kind of treatment anymore? After my brother passed away, I took great comfort in knowing he had received the best care, not only from Dr. Henderson but the other doctors at Piedmont who took part in his care.
