DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER UNTIL MANAGEMENT GETS THERE ACT TOGETHER. FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR out with guests and booted off the course because they cannot get scheduling correct. the way they treat their highest level members on hole 12 is, sorry you got to go, we scheduled an outing. How embarrassing. Management would not even come out to discuss as if to say, too bad, we got your money and do not care that we just kicked our highest level members off the course because we screwed up, and oh, we don't care, hahahahaha.

Big Improvements to Value, Course, and Service
This course is headed in the right direction. Big improvements all around and the prices have been lowered. I would lable it a hidden gem.
I played on Saturday June 19, 2010. We played at 1:30 and were done before 5:30. There are 3 nine hole courses Legacy, Heritage, Traditions. We played the first two and they were both in great condition. The greens were smooth and fast. The greens are also very undulated. Many of the fairways are also sloped or undulated. The course is also very scenic with water, creeks, lakes, and bunkers everywhere. I would not recommend it to a beginner, just because it may be frustrating. But if you are expecting challenging greens and fairways you should really appreciate this course. The bunker conditions were a little inconsistent, but once you see how many they have you will understand why it will take the new management a little time to get to all of them. I would say most of the bunkers were in good shape (I personally tested several). I also ate lunch in a clean club house restuarnat with attentive servers (great spicy talpia burrito). They have a very extensive practice area (putting green, chipping green, huge driving range with grass tees). I would recommend giving this course a try.

It's Not What You Think Anymore
I went here expecting the worst, honestly. I mean, its reputation wasn't the best, but I played the golf course about a decade ago, and it was a very good layout. You know what's, it's still a ery good layout.

The club is under new management (since March, I think). It's now called Heritage Golf Links (used to be Celebrity Golf Club). The course needs a little more work, but I think the conditioning was good and it'll get better--and it's not bad right now. Staff was every friendly, and the driving range is awesome. About the only negative I can think of is that the bunkers need work because they don't seem to drain well enough. I mentioned this to the guys in the pro shop, and they told me that was going to a major repair project next spring.

The price was very attractive--just $45. The location is just too easy. I'm goin' back again soon.

New owners, 2nd chance
I left my old review below, but essentially, the course has changed ownership again. The new owners are much more value-conscious, and significantly more friendly and customer service oriented.

Old review:

Firstly, the course isn't maintained to the level of the prices that they are charging. More importantly, rarely have I experienced customer service so poor in any business. Pretty much everyone that works at this course is at best indifferent, and more often outright rude and arrogant. Attitude seems to be "we're the closest course to in-town Atlanta, so suck it up, and pay the price."

Course often isn't maintained. They will not tell you when the greens have been aerated. If after the first hole you realize the greens have been aerated, and attempt to get your money back, they will not refund you, or give you a credit.

Save your money, and play elsewhere. This place is all hype.

Not so much
Lots of attitude from staff.DEFINTELY not a value--course is not maintained nearly to the level of the prices that they are charging. Beware--they will not give rain checks if it rains during your round. Also, they won't tell you when they've aerated the greens. If you turn around after the first hole, they will not give you a refund or a credit.
