Have been Highland Automotive customer for more than 4 years. At last regular maintanance (oil and filter change) they forgot to put oil into the engine (congratulations!) and completely damaged the engine. They did not forget to put that, forgotten oil, on the receipt for regular maintanance. After my complaints they removed the oil from the receipt and added some working hours they, as I was told, forgot to put on the receipt. I paid all they asked for this worthless and completely damaging regular maintanance and changed the shop. Troubles continued with Highland Automotives insurans company - The Main Street America Group. With a lot of struggling on negotiations I was paid out five months after engine damage, at last. Highland Automotives excuse: ¨It happened because we are humans¨. I can easily understand that, but all described above is hard to accept.

I dropped in desperate because my car suddenly started making a strange noise. The manager/owner who was working behind the counter took my car out for an IMMEDIATE test drive. It was a simple issue he took care of right away. With service like that they now have a new customer for life.

Highland Automotive (Cheshire Bridge Rd, Atlanta) is reason enough to own a Volvo. Mike and Ken are absolutely on the car owner's side. "We get all the work we need without inventing repairs." -Highland Automotive. An example - when our car encountered an unusual engine problem, they made the diagnosed repair. The problem occurred again they corrected it and REFUNDED the cost of the part used for the original diagnosis. Absolutely unheard of in any other car repair facility we have ever gone to. As a result of a recent visit to a Volvo dealer concerning a factory recall, the dealer wrote that we needed new brakes and the car had a radiator leak ($600). We followed up with a visit to Highland Automotive and they certified that the brakes were good and tested the radiator under pressure for an hour and a half - no leak. If someone in your family needs a safe reliable car; I would seriously look at a used Volvo - that you take to Highland for an examination. And if you buy it - Highland will take care of it in an honest and professional way - that you may have never encountered in owning a car. Lastly - I do not have any personal or professional connection to this unusual car repair facility -- just an admirer of the way they do business.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a location that not only specializes in Volvo repair and maintenance, but can also be fully trusted. When I first purchased my used 2001 S40, I was worried that they would "nickel and dime" me like the local Goodyear places do. Not the case. In fact, when I asked David, "Are you sure the brakes are okay?" he replied, "I'll tell you when you need new brakes." I really liked his no-nonsense approach from the get-go and it has been that way ever time thereafter. It is comforting to know that my car is in the hands of individuals who know all about Volvo cars, love Volvo cars (ask Dave and Ken about their own cars) and complete only the repairs that are needed without charging dealer prices.
