Called a few places that were closer to me and usually got some guy in a back room who wasn't helpful, quoted high, and was expensive. Spoke to Bob at the Hitch House who helped me work through some unknowns. Specifically putting on a hitch for a Pop Up Camper purchase in the next month (but at an unknown weight) and a Boat in 8-12 months from now (also an unknown weight). I needed to have the right hitch, drop, and more specifically the proper wiring (4 Pin vs 7pin, do I need Electric Break controller, etc..). He offered to hold the shop open for me since I was cummuting such a distance. Once there, he explained each part, talked me out of an expensive addition I was thinking of, but did point out another route with wiring to make me very versitle (a multi-adaper - 4pin and 7pin together, which was like another $15). Said it would take a little over an hour, but had me done in 45 minutes. A few days later, while at my mechanic, I asked it be checked over to confirm it wasn't a hack job - and my Mechanic said it was a beautiful job. Definately would reccomend this place. He is knowledgeable, resonably priced, and does quality work fast.

Great Service! My husband and I needed a trailer hitch installed on his GMC Sierra Truck to pull a utility trailer. I was sent to complete this task. The Hitch House people gave us an exact quote for the hitch plus all the wiring needed. I took a friend because I thought I would be there a long time. We were there less than an hour and a half, and the pricing was exactly what was quoted. I will recommend the Hitch House for sales and service.

We got a hitch put on our Toyota Prius for a bike rack. We called to get an appointment and got a specific quote, with an out the door price. We were there for only an hour, and the price was exactly what was quoted. It was fast and easy. Iíll recommend these guys to all my friends.

On 4/30/10, I took my new 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan to Hitch House of Georgia at 3733 Covington Highway in Decatur, Georgia to have a trailer hitch and electrical harness installed. Prior to work beginning, the presence of an air conditioning line in the area of the hitch installation was discussed, twice, with Bob Hine at Hitch House. I was assured they had installed ten or more hitches on this same model van and were well aware of the air conditioning line. Installing the hitch, they ruptured the a/c line. Mr Hine insisted I leave my van with him for repairs and take a rental car home. I refused. I attempted to pay for the hitch, which was already installed. Mr. Hine refused payment, telling me I wasn't leaving his premises until I agreed to allow him to fix my a/c. I just wanted to leave, take my van to the dealer from which I purchased it, and have it repaired. I informed Mr. Hine that he was holding me against my will, that I wanted to pay, and to leave. Mr. Hine demanded I submit to his wishes. I told Mr. Hine at that point to let me pay and leave, or remove his trailer hitch. Finally, not willing to just let me leave with a new hitch and no a/c, Mr Hine insisted I leave with neither, keeping me there another half hour while he un-installed the hitch. I've an a/c repair bill of unknown amount, no trailer hitch, and a Friday wasted. The Hitch House is not the 45 year old family business advertised, but "under new management". SEPT 2010: OWES ME $551.PAY UP!
