Hobaica Services, fixed our system when another company only put a Band-Aid on it, which ended up costing us more money in the long run. Our system is only 4 years old and not cooling the way it should. We called another company for service about 2.5 years ago and they added some Freon, basically shrugged their shoulders and said sometimes units loose Freon. Fast forward to last week, Brent and Dave from Hobaica evaluated our system and found we had a leak in in an exterior component due to poor welding, probably from the original install. You could see the leak and how the oil was bubbling when it was pointed out to us. Brent and Dave explained what needed to be done had us operating and cooled off with in an hour. The frustrating part was, if the company we called 2.5 years ago had properly diagnosed the issue, this would have probably been covered under the warranty. Instead, they did a quick fix and never took the extra step to figure out why the system was losing Freon. The short cut by the other company run up our utility bills for the past two years and then we had to pay to have the part replaced by Hobaica. The guys from Hobaica, were honest, educated and polite about what needed to be done. Not only did they replace the part, but they gave us the defective part so we could see exactly why it needed to be replaced. Plus, they allowed our dog to get in the way and sniff around while they worked. Thanks Hobaica for saving the day!

Over the years I have an dozen's of service tech's out to my house to repair my A/C unit...I have been over charged,and had a service that spent two hours at my house trying to sell me a new unit..Hobaica was good they fixed the issue did not upsell me and I referred them to my father...thxs

I had an air conditioner that had problems ... I called them on Friday morning, and they arrived on Friday at 3 pm. I needed a new thermostat, and they charged me $350 for a $40 non-programmable one ... $100 to $150 for an hour's labor would have been easier to swallow. Stay away from these guys, or they'll take advantage of you!!!

Had the company out to diagnose / repair an A/C unit that wasn't cooling. The technician showed up promptly, was courteous, all you'd expect except that he did a sloppy job of determining the problem. Said I needed $2000 of repairs and it made sense to get a whole new unit. Got a second opinion and got the A/C fixed for $300. And Hobaica wants to get paid for their 'diagnostic fee'!

I was referred to Hobaica Services through a friend of mine who said there were the best in every aspect. I called them for a cooling problem. From the very start with customer service, my experience was the best I had ever experienced, friendly, efficient and was there to please my needs, not theirs. The Hobaica technician was at my home within 3 hours @ 5pm. He was clean, professional, and happy to be at my home. He quickly tended to my A/C problem and the repair cost was extremely reasonable! I was so impressed, that I inquired about a maintenance plan to have my unit regularly tuned up. I enrolled in their plan and am looking forward to my next experience with them! Jane

We called up Hobaica after reading the positive reviews here, and comparing their BBB record to other similar sized companies and finding them to have a much better record than some of the big names. We scheduled a spring tune-up on our 2 AC units, and the first appointment we could get was a few weeks out. We were pleased when they called to tell us they had an opening and wanted to know if we wanted to move up our appointment. The person who came out was neat, clean and friendly. He found a diagnostic problem with our system, but yet it seemed the system was functioning normally. Rather than suggest that we do further diagnostics which were invasive and expensive, he suggested we just keep an eye on it and address it if it became a real problem. That solution seemed to be in my best interest as doing more diagnostic work would have cost more money. We also had questions about zoning our system which the tech wasn't really trained to address. He said he'd make a note to have a sales person give us a call. Later that day, they did call and set up an appointment to come look over our system and discuss our options. The sales person was also friendly and called to say he could be there 30 minutes early and asked if that was ok. Soon we were deep in discussions on zoning our AC system. It turns out that zoning wasn't for us, but our experience was very positive with this individual as well. I would highly recommend Hobaica.

Never showed up for my appointment. I had to wait another day for a company who then tried to rip me off before I finally found an honest company, three days after my appointment with Hobica. Shouldn't make an appointment with someone if you don't plan on keeping it. Could have at least called to tell me they weren't going to be there.

Hobaica Services is an excellant company to deal with. I have been a customer for a number if years. Every time I use their services for my air conditioning needs, they exceed my expectations in every way. Their customer service from the office is always excellent. Their technicians are always neat, clean professional, courteous and well trained. They explain my system, any issues or concerns in language that I can understand. When they leave my home it is always better than before they arrived. To top it off, their pricing is always fair. When a problem occurs, they handle it in a quick, courteous, and fair manner every time. All in all, they are a pleasure to deal with. I can rest at ease knowing that I have the best air conditioning company to take care of my needs.

I have recently joined this company as a comfort consultant. I had considered many other offers from around Phoenix and I did alot of research.I persued this company because they are a fifty year old second generation family organization.When I say family I mean to employees and their customers. I have had the opportunity to use Hobaica Refrigeration many times. Since I have always lived in Phoenix, Arizona it is an essential part of life to keep cool during our blistering summers. I recently had one of their technicians out on a somewhat "911" call. He was extremely fast, courteous and explained everything he was doing. I am a single mom and own my own home- and have come to be wary of technicians and companies. Hobaica is NOT one that I think twice about trusting. They have earned my trust many times over. Since they have been around for over 50 years- I can look forward to using them anytime I need a TOP refrigeration expert
