Generally speaking, HobbyTown is a joke - especially the model railroading department. The associates in this dept are relatively clueless, especially when it comes to O-gauge. The rest of the store is average at best. Seems like 10 years ago it was a much better hobby store. Save yourself some money and wasted time of driving there... Just order your hobby supplies online. The best reason to support the local hobby stores is to learn from their knowledgeable staff. In the case of HobbyTown, Google will be more helpful than their staff.

This store has one of the worst RC departments ever. The staff is narcissistic and would rather waste time with time wasters on the phone when you are out there in front of them waving cash in their faces. They dont care. They love to ignore you and they never know anything about anything.. If it isnt losi or traxas forget it. Selection is pathetic as well. You are way better off in the duluth store! Planes dept is ok. At least they try to help and are not always on the phone chatting away. Fair selection of products. The modelling department is great. Attentive staff and knows their stuff. Very good selection! Only reason i go to this store. The cashiers are usually the staffs minor children and those often act as if they are forced to be there (maybe they are). So this also varies by who is on shift! A very mixed bag of a store. Given its prime location and how much it costs them to stay open, you would think they would fix the issues already, instead of just relying on volume of random people walking in. Wake up!

Ok their selection is good - the Kennesaw location is the largest Hobbytown in the world. The service is acceptable - most of the employees are pretty knownedgeable and they seem to allocate employees to areas they actually participate in as a hobby. But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, who would pay their prices? Every time I see some schmuck walking out with a $600 r/c vehicle they could have gotten online for $350 I lose just a little more hope in mankind as a species. Again, seriously - who would actually buy something over $20 from this store??? WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHY DO THEY NOT KNOW ANY BETTER?

The franchise is good - their stores have a lot of interesting and good stuff, but the Kennesaw shop is simply awful. Total chaos; the salesmen are sloppily dressed with unkempt appearances. Totally unhelpful and useless, they're too busy playing with their toys to pay attention to customers. RC department is the worst - there I encountered a shamelessly rude fellow who was so engrossed in a chit-chat with his colleague that he could not even be bothered with answering simple product questions. WTH??! A disgraceful place.

This location offers an excellent selection of products. Store is big and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good knowledge about items they sell. Bathrooms need more maintenance.

They have alot of parts for alot of rc cars. Prices are ok, some deals are found. The staff is overworked and there should be a few more people there on a saturday or sunday. Otherwise, good experience. Id rather go here than the other stores.
