Do yourself a favor- call Homewise first
Ok, so I'm relocating from Pittsburgh and purchased a house in Lakewood. I love the old style and charm of the city. Anyway, my realtor suggested that I call Homewise for the inspection, so I did. Homewise gave me a price of $330. I wanted to be smart, so I called around for other prices. I found a guy who is listed in Lakewood and he quoted me $250. I mentioned that my realtor recommended someone else who was higher cost and he scared me by saying I should never use who the realtor recommends. So I used the lower cost inspector. BAD DECISION! He couldn't answer any question, shrugged his shoulders when I asked about water in the basement, admitted that he didn't know much about boilers and I had to call a heating man, He said I could just wrap the asbestos pipes with duct tape myself , frankly, the guy was just wandering around pointing out small maintenance items. Frustrated with Home Inspectors, I called area plumbers and heating guys and they all said "you should have hired John Cundiff", So I did. I paid homewise $330 on top of the $250 I paid the Lakewood guy. I could not believe the difference. John Cundiff was awsome. he came in with a purpose and was VERY methodical in his approach. He knew it all, explained it all. He helped me understaned what had to be done soon, and what could wait. I ended up passing on the house because the sellers would not negotiate but I will certainly use him for the next prospect. I think he's worth every penny of $330 and more!

John is our most important resource
We have been working with John for more than five years. Me and my brother are buy / rehab / rent investors in Cleveland and Parma. We know alot about houses and do all work ourself. But the guy that got me started doing this said no matter how much you think you know you got to start witha good inspection. We hooked up with John i the beginning and now he does all of our inspections. He dont give us any discounts but he is worth every penny we pay him.

Best home buying experience to date.
I relocated from Chicago in March. I had purchased and sold four home in IL. and had a different realtor and a different inspector each time. This is because at the end of the day, I was quite unhappy with each. I worried about relocating because I have so few contacts in Cleveland. I think I really lucked out. My realtor was good, and Homewise was AWESOME! I really thought I knew a lot about houses, but I learned more during that three hour inspection than I ever learned in 30 years of home ownership. Do you want to know what the hecks going on in a house? Hire this man. Hands down, the best money I've spent during this Relo.

Mold Mitigation
After buying our house, Homewise did mold mitigation for our basement. John was very thorough with removing the mold, preventing mold from coming back, and explaining the whole process. He also has done a home inspection and a radon test as well. Great work at a great price! If I need a service that Homewise provides I will not hesitate to call. Thanks!!

Deal went down.....in flames!
Homewise did an awsome job! I was about to step into the worst mistake of my life right in the heart of my beloved Bay Village. Thank gosh I hired Homewise for my inspections.
Here's what he found : Furnace leaks carbon monoxide, hot water tank valve was busted off, foundation had pushed off of footer, entire electrical system was ungrounded because someone stole copper pipe and the owner replaced it with plastic, kitchen sink had no trap so it made the house stink like sewer fumes, probably half of the vinyl windows had fog in them, the bathroom had improper wiring, and worst of all, the attic was completely covered with nasty mold because some idiot put the bathroom fan hose up there.
I didn't see any of this before and the realtor said it was a great house. I was soooo lucky to have hired John Cundiff. Anybody who reads these things should take it from me, I am real and I approve this ad! thankyouthankyou!!!
