I reached out to the company in December to refinance my condo; I received a canned email on December 10th; I called twice and sent 3 emails- NO RESPONSE!!! I don't know how or why I didn't even get a return phone call or email, but I've had to move on to a different company since this one has shown NO customer service.

Hey there Mr./Mrs. JSteffins- I am so sorry you had that experience with a Hometown Lenders Branch. We are one of about 4-5 branches in Metro Atlanta, and we all try to do a great job of servicing our clients. In this case, it looks like you must have called another one of our branches. I have looked in all of our records and have no record any any resembling your username on file. The other thing that alerted me is that we have no canned e-mails. How did you hear about Hometown? Was it on the radio? Online? To be honest, I just don't think it was our branch, but we want to do everything we can to make you happy and keep our branches reputation in tact. Hometown Lenders basically lied to me when they assured me of a loan with them. I complied with everything they asked me to do in order to procure a loan with them, but when I returned with all of my neccesary paperwork, their position had changed 180 degrees. What they had told me to do at first ended up being the absolute wrong thing for me to do to get a mortgage loan with them!They are completely inconsistent or uninformed or just dishonest My advice is that you take your business elsewhere!

Hey there Mr/Mrs Nybor101...I sincerely apologize for any mis-communication there may have been. We strive to do as many loans as we can and are subject to rapidly changing lending guidelines. We are not aware of any loan that was in process with our Hometown Branch that fits this situation, but we would love an opportunity to right any wrong that you feel you were subjected too. We can't force a lender to loan you money, but we can try to put you in the best possible position to obtain a loan. Again, please accept our sincerest apologies for any mis-communication you had with our branch!
Art Wood at Hometown Lenders is the only mortgage broker I would refer. He asks the right questions about your situation and time frame prior to offering a lending solution. If you're looking for top-notch service and depth of knowledge for the best mortgage for YOU, then Art Wood is your guy. He turned my mortgage into a work of "Art"!
