You know, you really do get what you pay for. I first worked with Homeworks in 2012 to address some major repairs related to water issues. I was so pleased with the results, that shortly... thereafter I retained Homeworks to renovate my kitchen. The experience of working with them to design a kitchen that was infinitely more functional, and specially designed to meet my individual preferences was very exciting. To this day, visitors comment on the kitchen and its unique design elements. Our most recent project has just been completed, and as is the standard for all of the work Homeworks has done for me, it concluded with a walk through with a site superintendent or a project manager, and a promptly cleared punch list. It is so good to be able to get results that are designed well and contain both quality and thoroughness from start to finish.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
This business recognized that a process error had occurred with my service issue and Thomas responded and worked with me to resolve this. Although I did not use Homeworks for my shower re-do, I... appreciate that he refunded the penalty charge. Thank you.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

We cannot say enough positive remarks regarding Hayes Homeworks. While having Hayes Homeworks pressure wash our home (which they did the best job of anyone in 12 years), I asked Thomas to examine the brick exterior steps to the front of our home, which had begun to crumble. Thomas was the first contractor to identify the problem - poor drainage. Thomas and his crew did an excellent job of rebuilding our brick steps, installing appropriate drainage and installing new columns on the front of the house. The quality of the workmanship was phenomenal. Everyone on the team was courteous, professional and took pride in their work. We look forward to working with Thomas and his crew on future projects.
On behalf of Shane, Lee, Kevin, and myself - thank you for the opportunity and your hospitality. It is always our aim to be positive and provide professional services to create outstanding outcomes. It's great when it's reciprocal and we get to work for outstanding customers as well.
Thomas and his crew were punctual, friendly and had the work done on time. Will use Hayes for future projects.
Personnel were prompt and curteous; all costs identified up front; workmanship on both jobs was superior and well worth the costs.
We had a lot of issues on the exterior of our home that we had put off over the years (rotted window, siding, trim, chimney, etc). We contacted Hayes Homeworks and everything was coordinated through Thomas who was very professional in providing estimates and scheduling the work. It was obvious how much pride he took in the quality of their work. Even though it was a large project he kept us informed and comfortable the entire way. The repair crew was very respectful of our home. Once the repairs were complete they were very meticulous in their pre-paint prep work and it showed when they were done. The final result was fantastic, the home simply looks like new. We have some more home projects that we plan to do in the future and we will be contacting Hayes Homeworks.
Exterior Restorations are challenging (especially in the winter) but they are fun. The transformation is so impactful because you can view it from a scale that let's you, and your neighbors, take the whole thing in. And you see it at least twice a day! Thanks for being so great!
As an Interior Designer I contracted Thomas at Hayes Homeworks to build a large (1300 sf.) deck and put in a extensive dry below system for a high end client of mine. This particular job was out of town and I need someone that was competent and trustworthy to get the job done since I could not be on the job site everyday. Thomas managed all aspects of the job and was in constant contact with me. The job was successfully completed and looks beautiful. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail really shows. Both my clients and I are very pleased with the outcome of this project.
This job has fond memories for sure. Pleasurable people, an inspired designer and a beautiful home and setting. We built and stained this deck with Purewood's remarkable steam/kiln dried decking/stain products, and then completed this terrace experience with a custom engineered DRY-B-Lo system. The result had to be outstanding- to meet the great high standards set by the other great people involved in the project and by the great owners who lived there. I had Philip out to patch some holes in my walls and ceilings. He was able to come out as soon as my schedule allowed, and he did a great job and there were no hidden costs after the work was completed. Thanks!
I contracted for exterior painting, carpentry and electrical work. Surprisingly enough they were not a “one size fits all” crew. They had a separate crew for painting and one for the carpentry and electrical. There was also a Supervisor on site for the majority of the time which was nice. The quoted price was fair, the folks that did the work were knowledgeable and every thing was cleaned up after the work was finished. 80% of my job has me working with Contractors and I can assure you that this isn’t always the case. Its also nice to see that Thomas actually replies to these reviews it there is a need to.
I am in Iraq and used Hayes Homeworks. They performed the job as stated on time and it looks great. It's nice to have someone I can trust back home that does good work.
Thank you for your hard work and service to our country. We look forward to serving you on the next project we have planned.
Thomas is a true professional. He quickly assessed my roof and ceiling damage, issued a fair quote, and scheduled the work around my busy schedule. Thomas and his team were courteous, punctual and cleaned up promptly after completing the repairs.
Thank you sir. We're glad you're happy with everything. To us, quality isn't possible without cleanliness!
Hayes Homeworks is a great home improvement company! Honest, reliable, straightforward, competent, and easy to work with. Our home improvement project began with our 22-year-old roof gutters which were rusted through and leaking. Our 22-year-old "builder" roof also was worn out in many areas. So we talked with Thomas about replacing the roof, gutters, and rotten trim boards and got a straightforward work write-up and cost estimate. As part of our due diligence, we also talked with some other contractors. One, a large metro-area company, was more interested in talking about "special deals" if only we would sign a contract on the spot -- the terms of which kept changing as we talked. Another "company" appeared to be a guy whose sole business capital was his pickup truck. As work began on the roof, gutters, and trim, we asked Thomas about fixing a persistent problem with rotting trim on two bay windows. Thomas proposed several solutions and we chose to substantially rebuild both bay windows with better materials. We also replaced three original windows where the thermopane seals had failed. Finally, we discussed repairing or replacing the original siding. After analyzing the situation, Thomas recommended selective replacement followed up by repainting (the house had not been painted for more than ten years). His painters did an exceptional job, with great attention to prepping the old siding prior to repainting. We could not be happier with the results!
One of our favorite projects of the year (and people!). Your complete exterior make-over was fun to achieve. There's so much satisfaction that comes from seeing a project of this size completed to the great satisfaction of the customer. Enjoyed it!
I am an older lady that needed a deck rebuild and for it to be painted afterward (back in 2008). They did a great job and my son thought so as well and he was the one who built it in the first place. They had explained that the pressure treated boards could not be painted until they had dried out (or the paint would peel) and I thought it was particularly telling how they came back months later to paint the deck. I may be old, but I'm still learning. I learned here that quality is not just about how a job looks the day it is finished, but also how it was done from start to finish, to produce lasting quality! So I'm appreciative of their knowledge and ethics and will remember the experience when I determine value in the future!
Thank you ma'am! We are glad to have met your high standard. It was our pleasure.
They have done a lot of work for me. Some of the work I can recall; bathroom wallpaper, bathroom hardware, new kitchen faucet, repaired sink drains, installed kitchen cabinets organizers, cleaned under-eaves and windows, cleaned and repaired gutters, installed crawlspace roof systems, moved furniture, hung framed art, painting, and installed window treatments. Their work is high quality, and they were respectful-a pleasure to do business with.
I called Hayes Homeworks do to some odd jobs. Their estimate wasn't the least expensive, but they were the most responsive and knowledgeable of the companies I contacted, so I decided the piece of mind was worth a little more $. Half way into the project the crew discovered major damage behind one of my walls - beyond what any of us originally thought. Once I saw the extent of the damage, I was SO glad I had chosen Hayes Homeworks. I had no doubt they could handle the additional work. I wouldn't have had that same level of confidence with some of the other companies I considered for this job. The crew worked to figure out and fix the root cause of the issue. Then they put the room back together so well, you would never know that any damage ever existed. Thomas and his employees are courteous and knowledgeable. They get the job done correctly and pay great attention to the details. They are excellent craftspeople and they clean up after themselves. It was a pleasure to have them in my home.
We are glad we were able to contain the damage and make the repairs before things got worse. Keep an eye on the area and let us know.
Thomas and team did a great job repairing our roof and the subequent damage that was caused inside the house. He and his crew were always on time and finished the job in a timely manner. He did a second job for us replacing our gutters. Again, the job was started and finished on time. His crew was professional and left the place clean and ordering. If you want something done right and on time, call Thomas.
Repeat Business. Conventional wisdom says every company wants this, but in actuality, few do what it takes to get it. Because, it takes more upfront effort to achieve it. It requires an understanding and implemention of certain processes and communications. We don't follow the "many fish in the sea" mentality. We like patronage better and so incorporate thinking and processes that ensure repeat business: from the beginning to the end of your experience.
We needed to replace some rotting trim around our front arched window that the original builders had done improperly. The guys went out there and were even careful to not harm the throny roses in front of the window (even though the roses were tough on them). They put in a new non-rotting PVC trim in that required some hard jamming in since the arch was an odd size). They did such agreat job that we're having them come out again to do more(including some electrical). Highly recommend them. And their website, where you can post a picture of the damaged item, is a very helpful tool.
