Summary: This place is terrible. The people are incompetent. The owner is a liar. Details: I took my fiance's car to the shop 3 weeks ago. There were several things we had him do to the car: change oil, replace radiator hose, replace coolant/flush radiator, etc. Since the weather has been getting colder, I decided to check the coolant to see what the freezing point was. I found that the coolant was already rusty again even though they had just flushed and replaced it. I also found that the freezing points was roughly 10oF, which isn't that good. It should be around -40oF. After discovering this, I was a little annoyed but I called Hong and he said to bring it in and he would fix it for free. I even asked him twice if I would have to pay anything to get it fixed and he said "no". Today, I drove up the shop and was about to give him the key when he told me it would cost at least $60 to fix it. I reminded him of our phone call yesterday and he said that I "must have misunderstood." After discussing this for 10 min we yelled at each other and I left. Also, he didn't know what an antifreeze/coolant tester was (It tests the freezing point of your coolant). This is a very bad sign. Maybe a random person doesn't need to know anything about this but a mechanic certainly does. I just hope they didn't mess up the other repairs that they performed.

Mr. Hong always does a great job. My Dad introduced me to this body shop and we've been going to Hong's for over 10 years since my college days (my siblings and I shared the same first car and all 3 of us saw a fair share of accidents on that first car!), and we've always gone back to him because the quality and price was uncomparable. He's also very willing to work with you on price and get you your car back if you don't have a lot of flexibility. He may not appear very personable, but I think that's probably due to English being his second language.

I have been going to Hong's for the better part of twelve years. They are not the cheapest in town but they are cheaper than the dealer and the quality of the work is excellent. If you value quality but don't want to spend top dollar Hong's is an excellent place for auto service and body work. I would recommend Hong's to anyone. This is the only place other than the dealership that I would let touch my vehicles. Juan

When my car developed radiator trouble on New Year's Day, AAA towed me to Hong's. There I left my car sitting in the rain, put the keys in the slot, and trusted all would go well with this repair. I called Monday morning to see what was wrong--a lot. I expected a huge bill and a long delay. That same afternoon Mr. Hong called to report the car was ready for pickup. The bill was certainly fair. And the added assurance: he'd checked the car for other possible problems and found none. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the work, the price, and the mechanic.

If you value your paint. Do not let them paint your car. The owner is very obtuse and difficult to deal with. I had to go through he*l to get my car repainted after they messed it up. It still looks bad and I just have to live with it. They are cheap, but not worth it.

I have taken my cars to Hong's for the past 5-6 years. Their work is always very quick and impeccable. They use OEM parts and you will pay significantly less than many other body shops. They will also shoot straight with you (though in broken English) and not try to sell you work that does not need to be done. I recommend Hong's to all of my friends.

I've used Hong's for major body work once (approximately $8,000 worth of work) and minor body work two or three times. I originally went with them because their quote was significantly lower than several other quotes I had collected. They did a great job the first time, and I've continued to use them ever since. I've always been happy with the results and the fact that they were able to get the work done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them for body work.

These guys are just good guys. They know what they are doing, laid back, but also on top of things. WE really appreciate the help on our boy's cars throughout the years with all their "fender benders" and auto damage! Thanks guys.

I had gone to 3 shops for bids on a repair to my Toyota T-100 truck. @ of the shops gave bids for repair of accident damage on the left rear fender. Hong's told me they "could" bid the repair but they recommended replacing the fender. Once they bid out the job it came in under the 2 previous bids.
