I've had chronic GI problems for years and this man wouldn't even listen to me. He suggested I take Miralax for my constipation after I specifically told him it made me ill; I told him I have celiac and he said I should just eat more raisin bran and grape nuts...LOL. As someone else said on here he had his hand on the door the whole time we were talking. He wanted to perform an endoscopy on me but I decided to pass because I dont trust him. Im now going to search for a nicer more meticulous GI doctor.

Dr. Horney is the best. I have had several "scopes" in the past with other GI doctors and Dr. Horney is superb. He answered all my questions before and after the procedure. If you need a gastroenterologist I highly recommend Dr. Horney.

Dr. Horney, when a patient of yours calls in the morning in agony with sever stomach pain, vomiting and arthritic body pain that has never before been experienced, have the decency to return the call or at least have someone from your office return the call in a reasonable time. Calling back 6-7 hours later at the end of the day is not acceptable. You were fired and we have found a sympathetic doctor that actually listens without acting like there is something better to do or another patient to jump to. Impersonal is not a trait you want in your doctor if you have UC or Chrone's. Dr. Horney does not offer any help in dire situations and could not hypothesize the problem(s) or offer any insightful diagnosis. And now the digestive issues that should have been addressed a month ago have led to more severe problems. Thanks for nothing!

Similar to the other poor reviews- the wait time is far too long, he talks at you for 3 minutes with his hand on the door, and doesn't listen to any questions or concerns seriously. For three consecutive visits he tried to push the latest and most expensive drug (and with the most side effects) on me even after I had said I wasn't sure. He finally put me on something cheaper after much persuasion, but acted as if he was only humoring the "dumb young girl." I'm currently finding a new doctor.

almost 1 hour and 30 minutes late ,no excusses used and neither appologize, very unpersonal, did not to see to care at all, i guess he was on rush to see more patients and make more money ,i guess that is what most of doctors are looking for it this days!!no humanity and care like on the old days. i dont think that my time and money(self-pay)was worth it because i kept asking questions and he did not seen to think that was necessary to know more about what i had , the diagnostic was made in 5 minutes ,and 4 weeks later my symptomes did not dissapear and i will have to find a second opinion ,i would not reccomend his services for anybody..dr horney if get to read this please think at over your attitude with your patients because it does not seen that you love what you are doing lately!!thanks!!

Dr. Horney was 45 minutes late for my appointment, and he didn't apologize. He then sat in the room with me talking on the phone to another doctor about another patient. I think his mind remained on that conversation during my appointment because he didn't listen to me. He asked me the same question three times in a row. Later he asked me, "So you jog every day?" I'm not a jogger and had never said anything about jogging. I'm not sure where his mind was, but it wasn't focused on my health concerns. Also, his nurse was quite rude, both during the appointment time and when she later called me with test results. All in all, not a good experience, and I won't be going back to him.

I wasn't impressed with Dr. Horney. I have had several visits and two exploratory procedures. He seemed nonchalant and not really enthused about diagnosing my problem. I feel my time was waisted. I still have the same agonizing symptoms and now have to search for a new doctor and start all over again.

He diagnosed my problem and had tests done the next day to confirm his diagnosis. (My internist had just given me some sample antacids when the problem was in fact much more serious!) Horney got me cured fast. Easy to talk to.

Just what you want for your Doctor, he is always on time, you never wait, he tries to help with minimal perscriptions, he would rather you get healthy though eating right and working out but he does not continue to harp on you if you do not listen to him. He is easy to talk to takes his time to listen and offer advise.
