Housworth Roofing was established in 1929 by Gladys Housworth. Later, long-time friend and associate, Jack Patrick, purchased the company, continuing the traditions of honesty , integrity and a commitment to quality materials and labor that Gladys had created. After many years of hard work and contributions, he passed the company to the current President, his grand daughter Laila Patrick. She has made the company more successful than ever, and constantly strives to make Housworth the very best!
We offer any type of remodeling services that you need. We look forward to helping you improve your home.
There are many construction companies out there that will only help you solve half or less of your project needs, meaning you need to use more than one company to get what you want done. One company will install a roof system, but won't do the soffit work, or one will install.. Hardiplank siding but won't paint it.
At Housworth, we are one company with expertise in many areas of construction. We won't leave any project half done.
Our Services include:
Windows & Doors
Roof Coverage Plan
Very pleased with the great job Housworth did installing my gutters. So pleased that I had them come back afterward to install gutter covers as well. Luis, the person I dealt with from Housworth, was prompt, professional and easy to deal with. His guys did a great job! I'd definitely use them again! Tim

We were extremely satisfied with the professional and efficient way the work on our home was handled, from the estimate to the final results. Everyone was on time, focused and professional while working on our home. Our questions or concerns were handled immediately and to our satisfaction. Great communication was the key to the success of our home improvements.
Replaced rotted soffit wood, caulked, sealed and painted entire front porch, adjusted fascia board which included removal of gutter, painted other soffit areas, replaced 3 windows, replaced and painted siding ledge, replaced brick molding on one window and filled and painted carpenter bee damage on some areas of trim, made roof repairs, which included removing and replacing rotted wood, nailed cedar shake shingles that were loose and made adjustment to a gutter downspout to move away from home

Great service from Mr.Richard. He was on time to analyze a simple repair that I had, and gave a decent quote without trying to oversell anything else. Would certainly consult them for any future needs.

I just wanted to post this review about Houseworth Construction who did a marvelous work on my roof with some damage that I had to some shingles and a leak. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs. Luis Vasquez was the person who helped us and he was definitely on top of things and very easy to get a hold of. He communicated with us constantly to update us and even spoke to our Home insurance company himself about the work needed to be done. Very good company to work with and will do business with them again.

Housworth construction did a great job on our roof. The main roof was done in 2 days as promised and it looks great. We did have an issue with a small section of metal roofing, but Housworth stepped up to their reputation and re-did it without any complaints. I can highly recommend them.

Richard and his team were are highly professional. Richard took the time to show me actual video footage of my roof as he explained in detail what needed to be done. Richard was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had. My roof looks amazing and I am incredibly satisfied with every aspect of my Houseworth Construction experience. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my home.

Housworth Construction does a great job. They came to our house on two separate occasions and spent time explaining work needing to be done and the best possible solutions to our problems. Courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They can take care of all your construction needs!

Based on the great reviews, we had Richard come out for a quote. He was very nice and spent an hour going over our needs. He said he would get back to me quickly. I never heard anything back. A couple weeks later a rep from the company called me to follow up and see how my experience was. I told him I had not heard anything back from Richard. He said Richard would follow up with me in a few days. I never heard anything, so two weeks later I emailed he company to make them aware of the situation. Yet again, no response. I'm shocked. A month wasted when I could have been working with another company. How does a company have such great reviews conducting business this way. Very disappointed.

We had our roof replaced by Housworth Construction in September 2015. They provided first class service throughout the project. They were efficient and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend them for any of your construction needs. We are extremely proud of our new roof!

For a while I had been looking for a someone who could repair my downspouts and master bathroom tile. I called Housworth and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Richard came out and was very nice and professional. He was quite knowledgeable also. He listened to my needs and ultimately provided solid references for the needed repairs since they were smaller jobs. Thanks again Richard for being so helpful. Much appreciated.

I contacted 5 firms for help in getting a home repair job done and Housworth was the only one who were up to the job - and returned queries and phone calls for estimates! Richard Anderson was the project manager the job. I found Richard to be personable, helpful + responsive to further questions/queries. We have a 1 level home but there is a window on a vaulted part of the ceiling that is not a skylight, but very high, that has been cracked (by a bird? hail?) for months, also the exterior flashing and woodwork around the window needed substantial repair and during the 2015 rains, it began to leak! Richard assessed the damage and was actually able to show me the damage on top of the roof. He brought along a flying drone and guided it up to the roof to take photos/video of the area that needed repair. I was able to see (and obtain) actual photos of the damage that truly showed what needed to be repaired --- all I knew we had a leak. The way the window was constructed, it "rested" on the roof, Richard pointed out leaves and rainwater would collect in the area below the window. He suggested having the bottom of window size reduced and raised - to allow less of the valley the original construction provided. Richard assembled a team consisting of skilled craftsmen + arranged for glass to be cut for new size. The end result is excellent!!!

Housworth Roofing&Const. provided a remodeling quote to finish our basement. Convinced we were dealing with a professional, licensed contractor,we hired them, the initial quote for framing, electric, drywall, hvac, tiling was over $30K.The first part was framing.Richard hired a subcontractor and we started the project, in the middle of the framing project, Richard told us that the subcontractor will need to add fireblocking and it will be about $600 to do that which was not included in the original quote. We gave me ok over the phone. After the framing work was completed,Richard told us that his subcontractor gave him an additional invoice for $1250 for that additional fire blocking and we have to pay him on top of the previously quoted amount. He also asked to be paid in cash.We were extremely upset, that is not the amount he told us on the phone.I called the subcontractor and asked about that extra invoice. The subcontract said he never requested even 1 cent for adding fireblocking, he did it for free.We checked GA licensing website, they DO NOT HAVE general contractor license. They are not allowed to offer remodeling services. We checked the accreditations they posted on Angie's list:NARI,or NAHB,we learned they DO NOT have those accreditations!Richard claims he never said he was a general contractor and we hired him knowing that.if he isn't a GC then why does he provide services of a GC?DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY,Richard is very good at lying. If he lied to us,he will lie to you too

We respect the opinions all our customers good or bad.
We are currently investigating this matter; however, we would have hoped that Kevin & Agnes Smith would have contacted our office concerning these matters. We are now learning that correspondence and phone calls were not made to our office, but only to Richard.
We find this strange that Kevin & Agnes Smith of Laurel Springs subdivision would only correspond with Richard and not the company.
We will update our response after our investigation is complete.
I had 3 reputable companies come out and quote me on a new roof. Housworth was far cheaper than the other 2 with comparable services and products. They came out with a huge team and got the job done efficiently and effectively. They even threw in a few extras at no charge such as fixing my dryer vent. I would highly recommend them based on their quality of work, professionalism, and customer service. Update: I found out 3 months after my roof was replaced that a coolant line to my air conditioner was damaged during the roof installation. The damage to the line was not entirely their fault, but they paid to have it fixed anyway. Housworth appears to be an honest local business that is dedicated to making sure things are done right and keeping their customers happy. I would easily recommend them to friends and neighbors.

After having multiple companies out to look at our chimney leak, choosing Housworth to make the repairs was the obvious choice. Their customer service, knowledge, and thoroughness, far exceeded the other technicians we had out to assess the issue. Not to mention, the cost of repairs and warranty they offered were outstanding compared to the other quotes we received. Richard, our main point of contact with Housworth, took great care of us. He went the extra mile to ensure the job was done correctly and within our budget. He was very involved from start to finish and that was so appreciated and unique compared to other contractors we've worked with in the past. Thank you, Housworth (and especially Richard!), for the great service!
