My mouth was destroyed by this woman! And all she wanted to do is push me off on someone else. Instead of porcelain crowns I ended up with my teeth all reduced down to the gum line and needing root canals on every tooth.

Dr. Gina and her staff are an amazing group of people. As a patient of her fathers when I was younger, I followed her when I came to ATL 5 yrs ago. I value her opinion and she's the gal who will stop what she's doing to take a few minutes to talk to a patient!! That's the kind of service that you keep coming back for! Kristen

I went to Dr. Hurt to get a crown for my front tooth. Dr. Hurt did a horrible job shaping the crown. I wanted my crown to match my existing front tooth which is square. Without telling me what she's doing, she rounded the corners of my crown making it look completely mismatch. In the process of grinding the crown, she actually nicked a corner off my actual tooth! I now had one round tooth and one squared tooth with a nick as my front teeth! I went back and pointed out to her that the crown looks nothing like my original tooth and that it's shape is completely different from the tooth it was next to. She tried to cover up the mistake by saying it was the latest style and all the girls in the magazine had rounded teeth! That does not explain the mismatched tooth! After arguing with me for a few minutes, she agreed to fix the nick on my front tooth and tried to reshape the crown to match but the damage is done. She does not listen to what the patient wants and tried to cover up her mistake. I am never going back.

Dr. Gina is a very knowledgeable Dentist. She really takes time to get to know her patients. She did my son's first filling for him, and she did my first root canal for me. She was very understanding. And, we were able to get our treatment in a timely manner. She gives very gentle injections too which is a plus.

I have been to many dentists in my life; however, I have never encountered anyone quite like Dr. Hurt. Sadly, I am new to the area; and, tried the office based on a single recommendation. Unfortunately, during my first visit, it was determined that I needed a crown. After enduring a dingy office; broken equipment (a water sprayer that literally gave me a bath); an assistant who tried to inject novocaine for the wrong tooth; and a crown that didn't fit; I decided that enough was enough. The clincher...when Dr. Hurt told me that the crown fitting was the best that she could do; and, that I would need to learn to chew on the other side of my mouth. What happened to customer satisfaction?????

My husband, son (7) and I have been patients of Dr. Hurt's for 2 years. Up until recently, our only visits were for semi-annual cleanings. We have always found the hygenists to be thorough, pleasant and child-friendly. Recently, my son had to undergo a tooth extraction. This was our first real experience with Dr. Hurt and it will be our last. Frist, she failed to even diagnose that my son had a supernumary (extra) tooth which was preventing his permanent tooth from dropping. I took my son to an orthodontist who identified it immediately from the xray. When I returned to Dr. Hurt for the extraction, she barely took the time to speak with me about it. She acted like the whole procedure was so routine and she seemed almost irritated with my questions about anesthesia and pain. The procedure itself was horrible. It lasted almost an hour and my son was screaming in pain for much of it. Dr. Hurt seems to have no maternal instinct whatsoever. She should definitly not work with children as the concept of TLC seems to be completely foreign to her. We will not be returning to Dr. Hurt.

I've been going to her for a few years now since my favorite dentist, a saint, has retired. I hate the X-Rays and they know it and I feel like they make adjustments for me in that area. Just say no to excessive X-rays. Of course they don't even call them X-rays any more, too worrysome a title. There are always issues with any Dentist. One time she wouldn't clean my teeth because my teeth had gotten loose, She insisted I to go to a gum specialist first who adjusted my bite, then everything firmed up by itself a couple weeks later. I was mad about it but it was for the best. She does seem to be in a hurry. She is a rougher than my favorite dentist who retired. I told her one of my crowns has pain when I bite down, and she gave me a prescription for a pain-relieving toothpaste. I didn't like that, it meant she didn't take time to look at the crown more closely. Plus the toothpaste was $50 co-pay, no way am I buying a $50 tube of toothpaste. I bought Sensodyne and it was fine. After a couple of years (!) the pain went away by itself. She talks to me a lot but I like that since keeps my mind off the pain. I have had many bad dentists, Dr. Gina isn't a bad dentist. Her staff is very polite and has the savvy to work with the insurance company. I have seen many bad dental office clerical workers at other dentists, you don't know the half of it, Dr. Gina's staff are GREAT.

I am a patient here and I have had the best experience. I have always dreaded going to the dentist and I felt other dentists I have been to are all flash and are trying to sell me services I don't need or they are demeaning and pretentious. This is the best dentist I have ever been to, no nonsense - quick service and no pretense. I have recommended this dentist to my family and friends. I am actually amazed to see negative reviews, I don't typically review businesses but in this case I feel the reviews were doing this place a major disservice!

I'm not sure where the other reviewers are getting their complaints. Dr. Gina is brusque, but certainly not rude. She and her staff are thorough, and my family has been seeing her for at least 5 years. The office is cozy, but well lit, with modern equipment and talented hygenists. Overall, I have had a an excellent experience for years!

I never even saw her face. She walked in very quickly & said "HI" in a very low voice. She then asked asked if my previous dentist had ever spoken to me about redoing my old filings and I said no. She did not speak to me again. She finished her exam and walked out the door. Not even a "goodbye". I have never seen a dentist so impolite and unfriendly. I guess this is how they impress new patients. I will never go to her again.

Tiny, cramped exam rooms and reception area. Office interior feels old so I get the sense the equipment and technology might be old too. Their focus is on money (getting you to come in and selling you stuff) as opposed to providing good dental care. I've had several billing issues (including billing my insurance for a procedure not done), and it is too hard to get the issues resolved. Look elsewhere for a good dentist as I am doing.

The second experience I had with Dr Hurt was less than satisfactory, if I hadn't been in the middle of having major dental work done I would have walked out mid-appointment. I found her nervous, reactionary, NOT calm (herself or helping me be calm) and I didn't trust the work she was doing. Her manner was brusque and accusatory, and she was obviously trying to juggle 3-4 other patients at the same time which left me alone for longer lengths of time than was the norm. Perhaps she had an off day, but that was QUITE an off day and I have a zero tolerance policy for anything that jeopardizes my health or well-being. I will not be returning to her practice.

She is awful. Don't go to her if you can help it. She is rude and has no consideration for how she makes her patient feel. If you request that you don't want x-rays every single time you come in, she will flip out and say that she won't send your claim to insurance if you don't get the x-rays. I will never go back. Her hygienists are nice but the girl at the front desk went a little crazy when I told her that I didn't want to book my next appointment.
