Great for Families!, 11/14/2012

My 12 year old daughter began taking karate lessons last year. She is already a green belt, and is now enrolled in the black belt program, which she hopes to complete by the time she graduates high... school. She and my 6 year old love the summer and holiday camps. Great staff and bonus benefits for parents, like free family sessions and workout room. Highly recommend.

Excellent instructors!, 11/13/2012

Our two sons began training at Imperatori Karate in the youngest class group offered (the Mini Mites class for 3 year olds). They are now 5 and 7 years old. The older of our sons has benefited... tremendously in his self-confidence. He has always been cautious in new situations, so it is wonderful to see him develop an identity that allows him to be strong and assertive when needed. His younger brother has always brimmed with confidence, and we have observed him develop needed skills of self-control in karate class that he uses daily at school and home. The instructors at Imperatori Karate are excellent. The instructors all began their martial arts training as young children in this same studio. Now, as young adults they are great role models for our children. One final thing that I will mention about this studio is that they do a great job of establishing clear goals that motivate the children without running them up to Black Belt too young or quickly. The students at Imperatori Karate must display proficiency for each new stripe and belt they attain, and the youngest Black Belts are 16 or 17 years old. When I compare this to other studios (my son has two "Black Belt" friends in his 1st grade class!), it makes me glad to have my sons train at Imperatori.

Life-Changing

I have been taking karate since age 3 with Imperatori Karate. I am now 17, and in August, I earned my black belt. It took a lot of hard work, commitment, dedication, time, and heart to reach that level of emotional, physical, and mental maturity. A black belt is not handed to you, it is really earned. Imperatori Karate has helped me grow and develop as a person, and gain the confidence that has helped me become who I am today. You learn so much at this studio: you learn self-defense, get in great shape, make friends, and even discover a little more about yourself. Everyone there is truly there for you, and quickly they will become your second family. I am so grateful for the experiences I've had with Imperatori Karate, and I could talk about it all day, but this review has a word limit, so come to Imperatori Karate and I can tell you all about it! :) Thanks Imperatori Karate!!! -Samantha D.

Fantastic Studio

We go at least two times a week and it is great to see familiar faces that make the students feel welcome and ready to work hard. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the staff is great!

Terrific Family friendly karate

We were looking for a karate studio that would welcome not only our 5 year old son, but our 8 year old daughter as well. Imperatori Karate has something for everyone in the family. The classes are disciplined yet very fun. We loved it so much that we hosted a birthday party there. The staff is welcoming, helpful and dedicated to making this a first rate studio. FIVE STARS!

Wonderful

Imperatori is amazing! We started two months ago and our son (4.5) has loved every minute. The staff is amazing! The facility is clean and they even have an area for siblings to play - which is great for those of us with younger children. I would definitely recommend Imperatori over any other karate center in the Atlanta area.

Best Karate ever!

I have two boys that do it and LOVE it. It has a great family environment and unlike kids sports you don't just "get" an award - you earn it and you know! A lot of other karate places you get a new belt every week but here you earn it.

Great Environment For Martial Arts

Our family tried out three karate places before we decided, unanimously , that Imperatori was the best. That was many years ago. Since then, our son's overall fitness, confidence, and capacity for hard work are all much improved. He is putting in the effort to earn a black belt, even if it takes years. Karate is the part of his day that he never complains about :-). Their training rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, teachers are top notch, workouts are often intense, and the atmosphere is warm. Give Imperatori a chance. You and your kids will like it !

Martial Arts school for the ages

I began training here with my son when he was a difficult 7 year old. I am now a long-time second degree black belt and he is a wonderful 30 something who has returned to complete his black belt and in about 3 years will be getting his own children started on theirs.

Amazing

My son joined last spring, it's an amazing family run, and family oriented studio. Instructors are top notch, firm and fair, yet know how to get these kids to excel and perform. I love the fact that they have high school students that have been part of the studio for years that also assist in their classes. Hands down, the best investment Ive made for my son.

Stellar martial arts program

Been training here since I was 7 and could not ask for a better experience. Terrific, dedicated staff and a positive yet disciplined atmosphere. This is not one of those "earn your black belt in just two years!" schools--the system demands commitment to advance. The values it teaches the kids are tremendous and you can see the difference in their attitudes and confidence after just a few classes. The adult American Karate program blends elements of boxing and cross training with traditional form, which gives a rounded workout and skill set. And it is a WORKOUT. The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu program is also outstanding (it's a satellite location of Eddie Camden's Team Tiger in Roswell). Love this place-- it's become a one stop shop for me!

Serious martial arts

I have been doing martial arts for over 30 years and have been affiliated with 6 schools over that time period. I have spent the last 11 years at Imperatori Karate. This is a standout school and any belt earned here is something in which one can be very proud. If you earn a Black Belt from this school, you could walk into any martial arts school anywhere and know you would earn their respect.
