Don't expect much
I used this service to inspect an old home I had purchased. What can I say -- the service was a bit too 'electronic' for my tastes: (1) an online agreement, (2) very little contact with the inspector (Jim Bunch), and (3) a downloadable inspection report. The owner actually would not even mail me a copy of the report -- he said I could download it (fine, but I don't have a printer). He should have provided better client relations in that respect.
The inspector was, in my opinion, only thorough in a checklist style -- not an exhaustive inspection as I have had similar services performed before. For example, the inspector missed: (1) a chimney cap problem that was easily visible from the street / ground level and (2) noticeable evidence of cracks in the masonry on the sunporch.
So, overall, I thought the service was a bit sterile and non-personal, and I thought the thoroughness of the inspection was only average. I would probably shop around next time.
