Best school ever!, 2/14/2013

My kids have been at Intown Community School for 9 years and counting. Small classes, Christ-centered world view and great value for your money. Check it out for yourself!

Awesome School!, 2/13/2013

Intown School has been a fantastic education for my kids! The school stresses a love of learning, is interesting, hands-on and treats children as individuals created in the image of God. The classes... are small and the kids get tons of individual attention. There is absolutely no "teaching to the test" but the kids still score in the 99th percentile on the Iowa Basic Skills test. My kids have never done busy work at Intown, EVER! The school philosophy dictates a low homework load but does send the kids home with reading every day. The expectation is that parents will be involved which is great. I could not have asked for more loving teachers, a better environment or a higher commitment to learning than Intown School.

Middle School Trip to Camp Highland

Very Smart Congregation

It's unfortunate that finding a church with an intelligent pastor is an exception, rather than a rule. The Rev. Scot Sherman, senior pastor at Intown, is one of those exceptions. While maintaining fairly conservative beliefs, the pastor consistently shows that people can think and be Christians too. His sermons challenge one not to just obey one particular part of scripture but to take a more holistic approach to living one's life. Even if you're not into Christianity, his sermons offer a weekly breath of fresh air.
