Dr. Frederick exceeded my expectations. I had no intention of seeing him (I was seeing his midwife) but I was put in his care when she took a leave of absence. As a higher risk pregnancy, this was a... good thing. He had us in that office every few days near the end, monitoring and checking everything as our baby was late. He was very proactive about the health of me and the baby. The midwife came back to work the very morning of my first contractions, broke my water at the hospital, but I had already decided I wanted to stay in Dr. Frederick’s care. This is also a very good thing because I ended up with a C-section, after a stalled labor that lasted through the night and several instances when the baby’s heart rate dropped with increased Pitocin. Dr. Frederick allowed us to wait as long as possible before having a 6a.m. C-section (I was very stubborn)! A nurse later told me he had slept at the hospital to be ready should anything come up. Nothing went according to my “birth plan” yet everything worked out with zero complications, a healthy baby, unusually quick recovery, and very tiny scar. I never would have dreamed I would choose to visit a Dr. instead of a midwife but I’ve only scheduled with Dr. Frederick since, and we hope to have him deliver any future babies! His team has always been very kind to me and extra accommodating when I’ve needed it.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I'm a mother of 4 children. I've had two births in MD and two in GA. My fourth child was delivered by Dr. Frederick and i am proud to say that. He's very personable and easy to talk with. I had the... unfortunate experience of needing a c-section 3 months ago. Dr. Frederick did an outstanding job. The incision isn't noticeable which is fascinating. Would highly recommend Dr. Frederick and his wonderful team of women at ISIS OB GYN.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I interviewed 2 other doctors before I decided to go with this practice. I have totally made the right decision because I've been so happy ever since I started my prenatal care. The level of service from this office is superb. Everyone from the front office staff, nurses and Dr. Frederick! Dr. Frederick's bed side manner is wonderful. He makes you feel at ease because he's so kind and very knowledgeable. Thank you everyone at Isis for helping to make my pregnancy a joyful one thus far!!
We have 3 children, and our third was born in GA we moved from NY. I've had amazing pregnancies, however I must say that my 3rd one was the best one. Not because my bundle of joy made it easy, because the frequent trips to the hospital, the recurrent bouts of early labor was not fun. However I must say Isis OBGYN and Dr Frederick made it an experience leaving me feeling like I could do it all over again! The professionalism, the care, the knowledge, the great staff and people we met, are just some of the perks. We have so much to be thankful for during this pregnancy and will always remember the great experience. Dr. Frederick was adamant about making sure Jayden remained healthy during and even after the pregnancy. My little preemie is almost 3 now and healthy as ever! I will never go anywhere else!
Kim Storey is my midwife & she delivered our son via a natural, unmedicated water birth. It was truly an amazing, magical, beautiful, & incredibly special experience. I could not have done it without Kim! She is an amazing woman & midwife. She provided unconditional support & encouragement through the entire birthing process. She would spend as much time as necessary at my prenatal visits & she always answered all of my "first timer" questions with genuine sincerity and patience. The entire staff at Isis is delightful! I never waited more than a few minutes to see Kim. Rina, the nurse, was always so kind to me and Amanda was always smiling & making sure we were taken care of. Kim ensured I had a healthy, safe, & supported natural birth. Her first priority was always our health & safety but she truly trusted the natural process and the woman's body to deliver her baby naturally. This confidence gave me the ability I needed to deliver my baby! I was empowered by being informed, educated, supported, & in control of the decision making process & Kim completely supported me in all of this. I learned that while childbirth may not be pain-free, it can be fear free. We as women have been blessed with an amazing body and a powerful mind. Through this process I have become a more confident woman, wife, & mother. I am forever grateful to Kim and her staff for providing this to me. I will forever carry these memories in my heart as a gift. Thank you Isis and Kim!!!
Thank you so much for posting such wonderful comments. This really made me smile but I am only a small part of the awesome group of people at our office. I thank them often for the hard work they do! Kim
I have delivered both of my children with Kim Storey and the Isis staff. I love them. I transfered from a larger practice where there was six Drs and i never knew who I would see. Isis has a wonderful-feel at home practice. The staff is great. They have always been prompt to calm my newly pregnant mama fears and gave me assurance when i needed it. Example- reviewing my ultrasounds again just for my sanity's sake. Everyone is really sweet and you really begin to feel like family. Dr Frederick is super nice, i will admit i was sort of nervous seeing a guy Dr when my midwife was out of the office, but he was wonderful and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a down to earth practice who will give you the time and really listen to you and your desires for whatever birth experience you want.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post your thoughts. We work hard to try and make our clients feel comfortable so it's nice when we learn that everyone in the office has done their job well. Thanks again and don't hesitate to let us know if you need any further assistance.
I really, really wanted to be a patient of Dr. Frederick's, but his staff is making it incredibly difficult for me. From losing my blood work (and blaming it on the lab), to requiring me to call them twice to get my records faxed to a specialist, to sending my insurance info incorrectly with my blood work (and again blaming the lab), to not calling me with lab results, it goes on and on. I love what Dr. Frederick is about with obstetrics, but if I can't trust his staff to handle even basic logistics, then his practice is a no-go for me. I'm looking elsewhere.
Thank you for visiting with me. I am happy to hear that you like me :) but deeply upset that this confusion has happened in my office. I am VERY glad you brought it to my attention. As a result, we were able to uncover a few situations that never should have happened in the first place. I sincerely apologize for the stress this has caused you. As a doctor is only as good as his staff - I can assure you the problem has been addressed. Thank you, again, for shedding some light on this important issue.
Dr. Frederick is the best OB/Gyn doctor out there. I had my first baby last month and rarely do you hear someone say, "I had a great delivery" but this is what I tell my friends & family when they ask me about my experience. I was fortunate not to have any major complications but even through a few scary moments, Dr. Frederick did everything humanly possible to ensure my baby was safe and that I was comfortable. My husband and I both have professions in healthcare so we can truly appreciate a physician who goes above and beyond for their patients. Not only is Dr. Frederick amazing...but his staff is wonderful as well.
I have been a patient at ISIS for several years. I don't usually write reviews but I went in last week for my annual and was yet again blown away and pleased with Dr. Frederick's care. He delivered my daughter a few years ago and is one of the kindest doc's I've ever been to. I had a difficult pregnancy and Dr. Frederick was readily available every time I had an issue...day or night. He never made me feel like I was bothering him. I've have never liked going to the gyn but he always makes me feel comfortable. He has made some changes in office staff since my last visit but things seemed to run smoothly and everyone was so kind.
I selected this practice because I wanted a midwife that would respect my wishes to have a completely natural pregnancy and childbirth, and a practice (associated with a hopsital) with a low c-section rate. Despite the 45 minute drive to their office I gladly went because my wishes to avoid many regular tests, ultrasounds, etc. were honored, and alternatives to medication were offered even when I got a UTI! The staff is always warm, friendly and efficient. They have gone over and beyond for me with scheduling whenever needed and I've always been in and out of the office in a reasonable time. Overall, this practice is excellent. If you're looking for a professional office with practioners that offer a breadth of care options, then this is the practice for you!
I went to ISIS since it was very near to my reisdence and i wanted to avoid too much driving for checkups. I was very lucky and glad to choose this clinic. I had wonderful experience with doctos and nurses in ISIS. Patients are treated well and given full attention for any time or day you call. I have now two kids son(6/2009) and daughter (1/2011). I forgot all my pain in labor room when i saw Dr Fredrick, he is so friendly and helpful. It was easy delivery for me both my times, completely natural and no epidural. I will refer ISIS to all my friends and collegues.
We are pleased to hear you had a good experience with our practice! Thank you very much for posting a review. We appreciate the time it takes to put your thoughts down to share with other potential clients. It also encourages us to keep working hard. Thanks again!
I don't normally write reviews but this needs to be said. We had our first appointment with the midwife, Kim, and then my wife left the country for an extended trip where she miscarried. When I called the practice to inform them and cancel our scheduled appointments, the operator said "oh, I'm sorry, your appointments are cancelled." That was the last we heard from them. No follow up from the provider, nothing. On top of this complete lack of care, they managed to misfile the insurance claim and refused to consider their error, referring me to their billing service for resolution. Look elsewhere if you want a provider who actually cares about you!
At ISIS, we do care about each and every one of our clients as our primary focus is to monitor and maintain the health of our patients. Therefore, it is especially disturbing when someone feels we failed at some point in that task. I sincerely apologize for your loss. However, to keep your identity and situation private, I am not at liberty to explain why you did not receive a phone call - a practice that we routinely employ in our office. I am sorry for any unnecessary worry this may have caused your family. I can appreciate your position.
After several years with my Ob/Gyn at Northside, I switched to ISIS at 38-weeks into my pregnancy and have absolutely no regrets. Kim Storey reviewed our birth plan with us and assured us that our requests were reasonable and we would have the birth our way. I had a question about the billing and there was some miscommunication, but I e-mailed Dr. Frederick and it all got cleared up. Their care at the hospital and for regular office visits post-partum was outstanding. I could not have asked for more or better. The wait in their office has not been more than 20 minutes and usually right on time.
Thank you for communicating with us directly and allowing us the opportunity to correct your issue. We sincerely appreciate your effort and the great review!
As a mother of three children with the first two being delivered by midwives, I was skeptical about using a doctor to deliver my son. After reading countless reviews I found Dr Fredrick. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this doctor. I was always able to get an appointment or in the unfortunate event I had to change an appointment there was never a problem. I had no problem being seen during emergencies. I was almost immediately seen at every visit and if something came up between visits I was always accommodated. Dr Fredrick was available even during after hours to return calls and call in prescriptions if necessary. I always felt like I was his only patient. I thought discussing my imtimate issues would be difficult with a male dr but Dr Fredrick made me very comfortable talking to him. He is a great guy, funny and warm. He is competent and his staff is accommodating. They are always smiling and friendly. The staff knew my other children and I by name and always inquired about my other children during calls and when I made visits alone. On the few occasions that my children accompanied me they were treated very well. Isis has two locations in Johns creek and Alpharetta. Both very inviting and always well kept. It was always clean and well lit. The decor is very nice and the waiting area comfortable. I will be using him for all my future ob gyn needs.
Wow! Thanks for such a great review. I especially like the part about me being funny. Stay well!
I came to Isis after a change in my medical coverage. I was concerned that I wouldn't get anyone as good as my last OB, boy was I wonderfully surprised! Dr. Frederick AND the staff at Isis were amazing! The one complaint I had at my last physician's office was a total lack of personal service. Every single time I called Isis they knew EXACTLY who I was, knew what was going on in my life and my pregnancy throughout! As a doctor, Dr. Frederick was knowledgable, calm, straight forward and forward thinking, not to mention FUN! What a great experience...they feel like family!
I'm happy to hear that we exceeded your expectations! It is always fun getting to know our patients and their children. That's what makes being an OB a pleasure. Talk to you soon!
