Awesome awesome awesome!!!
Island Pet Hospital is definitely a refreshing change when it comes to veterinary care. Every time I bring my three BIG dogs in for care the Doctors & staff are exceptionally friendly and always caring. We have seen all of the doctors for routine checkups, vaccines and emergencies. Each situation has been met with professional attitudes and sincere kindness. I treat my puppies like my children and it is always awesome to see their Veterinarian and Nurses do the same :) I'll never go anywhere else and neither should you!

Great Vet
I took my cat to see Dr. Collins. I thought my cat still had ear mites after two treatments from an over priced mobile vet. Turns out she did not have ear mites, but she did have an ear infection that was irritated by the ear mite treatment. Dr. Collins was professional and on time. He took good care of my cat. The staff was also wonderful. I will return to Island Pet Hospital and Dr. Collins.

They really took the time to show us they cared!!
I have a 4 year old little boy that has been wanting a puppy for a very long time. He was very nervous when we took the puppy to the vet for the first time because he knew she was going to have a shot. The veterinarian was amazing she told my son everything that was going to happen and explained what she was doing, she also told him a couple of things he could do to help train her. She also listened to my sons stories about the puppy and how much he loved her. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience that will be an impression on my son forever.

I wouldn't trust anyone else! The best!
I have been taking my Golden Retriever to Island Pet Hospital since she was 8 weeks old. She is now 3 years old and LOVES going to the vet. Every time I bring her in, they treat her like their own dogthey love her almost as much as I do.

We've had Darby spayed, boarded, immunized, and treated for illness at Island. No matter what the circumstances, I always feel confident and happy leaving Darby in their care. We have boarded her at Island multiple times and every time we pick her up, she is clean, content, and well-cared-for.

As far as the doctors are concerned, Dr. Collins truly goes above and beyond the call of duty. When Darby was sick, he even personally called (more than once) to follow-up and make sure she was feeling better! To put it simply, there is no one else we would trust with our treasured pup!...

A Joke!
Called to board my animals and was given one price but when I picked up my animals the price was higher. A few times I made appointments I was asked if it was for a deceased pet that was in their system even after being told the animal had passed away! Sent one of my animals to get neutered and discussed with the Dr. to remove dew claws while my dog was under. This wasn't done, although later I saw that the Dr. noted it in the chart, and I ended up having to put him under again to do the procedure. Being a long time client (9 years and 6 pets) I thought I should take the time to let the office manager of my problems. She (the Dr.'s wife) was rude, offered no apologies and even told me that I should take the blame for not double, triple checking to make sure I got the right price and the right procedure done! Are you kidding me??? She said she'd never had any complaints to which I told her most people just change vets while I was sincerely trying to bring her attention to customer service issues. FIRED!!

Unfortunately there was nothing that was going to satisfy this client. Upon dropping off any animal for a procedure, all clients are required to sign the surgery release forms. This form clearly states what procedures are to be done. This client signed this form with only the neuter clearly stated as the procedure. The Dew Claw removal was neither written on this form nor mentioned to the receptionist upon signing this form. Although it is true that she had previously discussed the Dew Claw removal with the Dr.,one cannot expect that the Dr. would recall this information from a previous visit that had long since passed. As for the pricing error in boarding, this client was actually undercharged rather than overcharged. Island Pet Hospital has an exceptionally clean kennel as well as competitve prices. If an error was made in an over the telephone quote, which was not in writting, then perhaps it was human error. There is no way to verify what price was told over the phone. We always provide a printed estimate for any procedure upon request. We at Island Pet Hospital PRIDE ourselves on our customer service skills and are always happy to hear constructive criticisim.
