We have been going to J and L Auto service for over 10 years.The shop has provided accurate and dependable diagnosis and repair work over the years. In the front office Shad and Gabe are courteous, reliable and very knowledgeable. The repair work is always done in a timely manner. We have put our trust in them and we have never been disappointed. We would highly recommend them.

I have used J&L to service all my vehicles for over 30 years. I know the owner, service tech and all the mechanics. I would not take my vehicles anywhere else. No they are not the cheapest in town, but remember you get what you pay for. For what you pay J&L you get excellent work at a fair price. Yes you may have to leave your car with them longer than some other shops, but do you really want them to rush through the repair without doing a complete diagnotic of the issue? Thanks to J&L all my vehicles have stayed in top condition so I always get top dollar when it's time to sell or trade. If I could give them 10 stars it still would not be enough!

I just had my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 serviced by J&L. Let me say that it is a pleasure to work with Shad & Gabe in front office. These guys are the nicest to deall with! They are honest and they know exactly what they are doing. My truck was making a growling noise in the drive train and one shop that I took it to told me that it would cost $5K to $6K to rebuild the transfer case. Gabe from J&L took a very mehodical approach and used remote microphones to isolate the noise and then fixed it for $600. Turned out to be a bad pinion seal for the drive shaft and to make sure he also rebuilt the drive shaft.

I was motivated to try J&L because of the reviews at kudzu.com. I came in to get an alignment and told them that another mechanic had mentioned a while back that there could be a tie rod issue. They told me that the outer tie rods needed replacement before the alignment could be done. Their price came in substantially lower than the other mechanic's price of almost 2 years ago, which really helps given my financial situation. Shad is friendly, competent and gave detailed and honest answers to my frank questions, even about my tires. I recommend J&L.

Discount Tires on Peachtree Industrial referred us to J&L when my wheel stud broke. These guys have given us fast, good, reliable service, with some free advice and some value add-ons. They helped find and fix an issue with the brakes that was caused by an incompetent mechanic two years ago (can you imagine DUCT TAPE on my BRAKE CALIPERS, people?!?), and probably saved me from a dangerous failure. My husband knows cars, and he says everything they recommend is spot on.

I first visited J&L thanks to Kudzu reviews, and thank goodness! It is so hard to find a shop that is friendly, trustworthy, and does good work for a reasonable price without "suggesting" a bunch of extra work that you don't really need. That's J&L. The price for work is sometimes a bit higher than what you'd pay at a chain shop, but the peace of mind you get from knowing J&L did quality work is worth it.

It's nice to find a "real" place that you aren't paying for all the frivolous extras like cable TV and pricey seating, but just meeting some honest hard-working guys that take your lemon and make it work. I'd much rather have a conversation with a person instead of having a TV to watch while I wait and that's what you find here.

I have been looking for a place to take my '68 Charger that was close by and J&L was willing to take on the mechanical work I needed. They inspected and adjusted the brakes, inspected and repaired steering and suspension issues and retrofitted the A/C with R134a unit. They take the time to make sure it is done well. They also fixed some leaks and one stubborn leak needed to be addressed again and they solved it. Justin will keep you informed of the status of your car. Mine took a while but since it is a classic I wasn't in that much of a hurry since there was a lot to do. Daily drivers take priority but when parts come in they get right on it. They definitely know older cars and they are a good place to take your old muscle.

Been a J&L customer for over two years now. I found out about them through a referral when my car needed some diagnostic/repair work, and I have been so thrilled with their service I now take my car to them for all my oil changes as well. Because of my husband's work schedule, I'm always the one who ends up making these kind of appointments, and I can't tell you what a relief it is to know I have a mechanic that is trustworthy and fair. If you want personal, honest service, this is definitely the place to go.

J&L is a trusted repair shop. I've been a customer for almost 10 years on each of our cars. I appreciate the friendly interaction and courtesy. Throughout the years they've earned my trust by doing great work, at reasonable cost, and suggesting cost saving alternatives when appropriate. They take the time to discuss the problem, the recommendation and the work completed.

It's such a pain dealing with car maintenance, so I was dreading the day I took my car to J&L. Thanks to the guys at J&L, I was pleasantly surprised. Justin was respectful, and was very helpful by thoroughly explaining all the work I would need done. I feel the price was fair, my car is running great, and most importantly I do not feel I was taken advantage of (as I am a woman). I'll be a repeat customer from here on out. I appreciate the great service guys - it's hard to come by these days...

Took my car in for some repair work based on a friend's recommendation and the 5-star Kudzu rating. The repair work was done well as all problems were fixed, including one that had previously gone unsolved at 2 prior visits to other mechanics. Friendly service and they explained what they were doing well. However, I have two complaints: 1. I took my car in at 8 am but they never called me to give me an update. Once I finally called around 3:00, they informed me they needed to keep my car overnight. Same problem the next day - I had to call them to get an update. 2. Actual price was higher than what they quoted me by a couple hundred bucks. Good work and friendly, but a little disappointed in the customer service.
