An unoriginal over-priced restaurant for the bland minded. J. Alex is a chain and by nature that leads them to become boring and tired. But this location perfects unoriginal and bland. Have been a fanatic of J. Alex for years... traveling 25 miles to frequent their Atlanta locations. Ordered the same "retired" pasta dish that I have ordered 1000x before. Assistant Manager comes and announces "we are pretty full tonight so we won't take the time to accommodate you". As I know the "new" menu is as I described and having traveled 25 miles, I opted to leave. Couldn't believe a customer since 1996 who had overpaid for years happily at J. Alexander's couldn't bother the "chef" staff to read a pasta recipe and toss it together. Called their corporate office to report my unhappiness and received a condescending and dismissive call from their general manager Tim who basically said "don't care.. order from the menu or don't come". Good news Tim... I never will again! So if you want an unoriginal dining experience, overpriced, and forget anything customized to your liking this is the place for you.

I love steaks and I always crave the filet mignon at J. Alexanders. I also love the smoked salmon appetizer. Kind of pricey but worth it if you want to get spoiled with great service and great food.

Good food and good service. The only problem I have with it is that it is entirely too loud. The restaurant needs sometype of sound absorbing. You can barely hear yourself. Do yourself a favor and order the "Powerful Stuff" for desert. It's Incredible. Best desert EVER!
