Consumers Beware, 4/12/2011

Jackson Heating & Cooling in Jackson, Ga installed our original 4 ton unit in our home. We have had to replace every major part in this unit as well as continued emergency service calls to the... Company for which they would charge us an “emergency service fee” as well as a repair fee. I proceeded to have five licensed A/C Companies come out to do a review and recommendation for the unit, each Company advised me that inadequate duct work and return air vents were installed in the original installation causing the system to overwork itself and causing major parts to be replaced. I proceeded to call the Owner, Joan Collier and she came out to review the unit and the work done as well as every invoice showing the repairs and replacements and how costly this unit had been to me, she got very angry and got in her vehicle and left. I have since tried to call her and send her certified letters with no response from her. The County Inspector reviewed the duct work and advised me that it was not in code with the ordinances, the duct work is laying on the ground under my house as well as very poorly done. This unit freezes up and I have been without heat in my downstairs for the entire winter. I have pictures, documents and replacement costs available. I have a very large nice estate and they have duct taped the unit and it has been kicked in by one of their technicians that worked on the unit, it looks very bad on my estate lawn as well as the duct work under the home.
