The Jalisco Cafe serves very good Mexican. The salsa and the guacamole are delicious, and all the menu items taste very authentic.
Being from South Texas, I had a hard time finding Mexican food in California that I liked. Jalisco fit the bill with some of the best I've had since I left San Antonio.

For a Sit Down Restaurant this is a good one. Sometimes your experience may vary with your waitress as some are more efficient than others but the atmosphere makes up for it. Their carne asada is different than most places but excellent! I also highly recommend their cheese enchiladas.

On my visit to the Jalisco Cafe it was very crowded, but not even that excused the slow, indifferent service. The Mexican fare was below average. It was mundane and expensive for what it was. Seemed to be popular with others, though, so maybe my experience was an exception.

I have been eating breakfast here for about 15years. The service, food and atmosphere are wonderful. It's small but mighty. You will NOT go away hungry! Try the A4 if you love bacon & eggs with 4 strawberry jellies.
