Hiring Janks Construction to remodel our home was one of the biggest mistakes we ever made. Very little was done right and attempts to fix things failed. Promises were not kept, timetables were not kept, cost was high, value low. Steve Janks himself left the country in the middle of the job. Don't do business with a Mom and Pop - hire a legitimate company with a complete staff .

Janks Construction is expensive and not worth it. They mostly just sub contract work out. We would have been much better off working directly with Cabinets Galore and Stones Unlimited.

Janks is a highly professional company that did a first class job on a remodel on my master bath and bedroom. I have worked with other contractors in the past and I will say that Janks is a cut above. They do what the say, are ethical - while at the same time have the capabilities to offer total quality at a reasonable price. Anyone considering a remodel should interview this company.

My husband and I chose Janks Construction for our extensive house remodel-reconstruction because we wanted a company that worked with our design ideas and dreams and made them into reality,all while staying within our budget. The result is that the team from Janks construction , their skillful construction and quality craftsmanship created a beautiful, comfortable, functional new living environment. They were on time, kind, considerate of our privacy and the quality of work is incomparable to anyone else. Even once the project was completed Janks Construction still services any needs that may arise. You as a customer are never filed away. After spending two years in Arbitration with Janks Construction, we were awarded damages for work done by Janks that was not to code, work not completed and work that failed to live up to minimal standards. In addtition, Janks overcharged us and when called out on this he simply walked away. I could go on and on, but this should give you the picture. There are plenty of good honest contractors out there. Make sure you check out mulitple references, get everything in writing before signing the contract, and avoid being forced to use the Amercian Arbitration Association for dispute resolution. Their bread and butter is business, not consumers.
