I went in a month ago to get an engagement ring for my then gf - he came down on his price, held the ring for me for a week so I could shift funds around. Upon picking it up that next week he was beyond friendly and we chatted for about half an hour while it he was appraising it. This past weekend I proposed and knew the ring was going to need to be re-sized and we planned on it being in his shop for a day or so....rather he suggested we take a walk around the square and 30 mins later it was just the way she wanted it. Everything went smooth, will defiantly him (them) to anyone else in the future - I don't have a single negative comment about the encounter to even hint at. Beyond helpful and pleasant!! Thanks Gerald!!!

Stay away from this store. The owner, Gerald, is the rudest man ever. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer before in my life. I had a ring sized. A week after I got the ring back, one of the stones fell out. I took it back to get it fixed. He then wanted to charge me for tightening the other stones and replacing the one that fell out. I asked him why that wasn't done when he sized it. I assumed that would be standard in sizing ring. He said I didn't tell him that there were stones lose. I said I assumed when sizing a ring the stones would be loose from adjusting the size. He then said It isn't his fault that I am wearing a peice of junk on my finger. I was appauled and shocked that he spoke to me that way. He then said never mind and to get out of his store. He does not care about customer service. He does not care about the work he does. He does not stand behind the quality of his work because his quality of work is subpar. Take my word for it and find another place that would be happy to gain your business.

I've been to Jeweler on the square several times to sell various antique items along with appraising precious jewelry, and I've enjoyed the experience every time. The owners are always willing to take the extra time not just in providing excellent service, but in a VERY personable and friendly manner. You cannot beat their rates, experience, and personable customer service...anywhere! If you're looking for a trustworthy, reputable and friendly jeweler--to buy, sell or just browse--look no further!

Gerald and Ginger were outstanding; helpful without being pushy, guaranteed to replace any diamonds that may fall out of my new ring. I have been shopping at the mall for a ring, however, felt uncomfortable as far as the quality. The ring I bought from Jeweler on the Square is unique since Gerald made the ring himself. I felt the price was fair, the diamonds were clear, no carbon, 14k gold, and the service outstanding. Gerald and his wife are lovely people. Don't believe the negative comments...

I heard several other complaints on the different boards which made me scared to go back. My wife and I bought her wedding ring there back in 98. They always did an outstanding job of servicing the customer with quality jewelry. We went back there last week and the owner asked to clean all of my wifes rings and even cleaned my band even though I had not bought all this stuff from him. None the less, him and his team know jewelry and know how to make customers feel important. Thank you.

I would never go back here. Dropped several pieces off for repair and when I called to get an estimate the jeweler was rude, disrespectful and didn't want to do the work. I went that afternoon and retrieved all my valuables, and they couldn't care less.

I have been doing business with Gerald for about 10 years now. I have gotten some outstanding antique jewelry there. It's a great place to browse--in fact, if you go in with a certain thing in mind, you might be disappointed because there's no telling what he will have on any given day. Gerald is my place to go when I am jonesing for my antique jewelry fix.
