Great art teacher for teen artists
If you are looking for someone to instruct your motivated teen artist, I highly recommend Jill Saur. We found Jill and her gem of a studio when we were looking for someone to challenge and encourage our daughter's artistic interests beyond the school or rec department offerings. Our daughter's watercolor, acrylic, multi-media, and pen-and-ink drawings now hang throughout the house, a testament to Jill's ability to guide her students without stifling their creativity. She's now helping our daughter create her portpolio for college applications.
Of all the classes and activities in which our teen has been involved, this class has consistently been her favorite time of the week.
I am not artistic myself, so I apppreciate Jill's helpful suggestions about the best supplies to buy at the best prices. She allows the students to choose their subjects and encourages them to explore new media once she feels they have had success in one area. Saturday morning classes work well for us, and Jill offers evening classes on a space available basis for those times when we have a Saturday conflict. She has a wonderful way with students of all ages.
