5.0 star rating 12/10/15 Since my Porsche is out of warranty I was hesitant to bring it to a Porsche Dealer when I could find an aftermarket shop for a discounted price. Boy am I glad I chose to go right to the dealer. My service Advisor Marquis Warner was not only knowledgeable but helped advise me on the "must haves" vs. the "nice to haves" making the experience affordable. As well, they gave me a Cayenne as a loaner which I enjoyed thoroughly. Marquis did a terrific job staying in touch with me and truly educated me on everything I needed to know to appropriately service my car. I would highly recommend the dealer experience as well as Marquis who is a rockstar advisor. I will continue brining my car to Jim Ellis.

I brought my husband's Porsche in for a variety of things to be checked. It was going to take 4-6 hours to check everything so I was given a VW loaner - .thought it should be a comparable car but that's neither here nor there. Approximately 4 hours later I received a phone call with a laundry list of things that "needed" to be fixed. First of all the alternator was quoted at $2400 but an aftermarket could be installed for $1300. I asked if I should come get the car while we waited for the aftermarket part and he stated "no, you'd be stranded if it went out." Other items they said needed attention were: The sunroof needed "cleaning and relubing" at $215. We needed an alignment although it doesn't pull at all for a cost of $250. The oil pressure gauge was "erratic" so it was suggested we replace the sensor (sender?) for $250. There is a screw in the tire that you can't fix because the tire is not "Porsche approved" which places me on the road in an unsafe car. I called my husband to discuss and he got a quote from an import service center for $600 for the alternator (including labor). After dropping off the car we received a phone call from new location. There is NOTHING wrong with our alternator. Do NOT use this company for service - .or anything else for that matter!

I was negotiating with several other dealers up and down the east coast on a 2011-2012 911. I actually went with the vehicle at Jim Ellis Porsche that was priced slightly higher -- I felt more confident in the sales process with Jim Ellis Porsche rather than the others. All in all, my experience with Jim Ellis Porsche was great! The car was delivered as advertised, and Michael McGregor was very responsive before the sale and after delivery. Some outstanding things: 1. I'm living in DC, so I had to fly down to Atlanta to take delivery on the vehicle. A limo was waiting for me at the airport to take me to the dealership. That was outstanding! 2. Once I arrived at the dealership, I was out within an hour. That was outstanding! I've found that other dealers (especially other Porsche dealers for some reason) do not respect my time. Also no last-minute negotiations on pricing or messing around with financing as I've experienced with other dealerships. 3. Follow-up on my State of Virginia license plates is prompt. What could have been better? Nothing, I'll probably purchase my next 911 from your Jim Ellis Porsche!

I recently purchased a 2012 Panamera from Jim Ellis Porsche. The excellent experience I had with Rich Kraft convinced me that my next purchase will be from Rich. Please continue with the great customer service. Prior to visiting your dealership on the day I made my purchase I did visit Hennessy Porsche on 2 different occasions given that at they had a greater selection of vehicles. However their poor customer service and my overall negative experience made me come back to Jim Ellis dealership due to the positive experience we had in the past at Jim Ellis Audi where we purchase the Audi A7 last year. -- Dr Landa

The service department is very professional, most helpful and knowledgeable. Put aside the fact that Porsche makes a fabulous vehicle, Jim Ellis service staff will be the driving force that keeps me rolling in a Porsche. Thanks for the great job! -- Freda

I looked for over 1 year. Spoke to all the Major Porsche dealerships in the US.I probably reviewed 30 cars. The decision to pull the plug and come 4000 miles to buy the car from Jim Ellis was the way in which Michael McGregor dealt with me over the phone/internet. Always polite/available/willing to answer my questions/honest and followed through on everything he said he would do-and more. Keep your great staff-make sure they know how happy I am with their service I have bought over a dozen cars in the last twenty year-this experience-even though the majority of it was conducted long distance-was by far the best. My new car arrived-as promised-and even after the fact-needed paper work to complete title application-dealt with very efficiently. BIGGEST REGRET-dealship is 4000 miles away so won't be able to continue working with this first class place Thank you Sincerely Antony Egnal MD Seattle ,WA

"Ryan and Michael are the best. This is the third car I have purchased from Ryan. He has been great to work with, very accommodating, customer focused and a "car guy." I just enjoyed sitting around with both Michael and Ryan and talking cars.

"The service advisors at JM Porsche assisted me when I dropped the car off for repair at Jim Ellis Collision. I had to drop the car off on a sat. at Jim Ellis Porsche and the service advisors delivered the car for me on Monday morning to the collision center. Due to logistical problems I had to pick the car up several weeks later at Jim Ellis porsche on a sat. instead of at the Collision center. A minor repair was needed to complete the work which was done by Jim Ellis Porsche that sat. morning. The service advisor called me when the repair was completed. The collision center contact, Janet Mixer, kept me informed in a timely manner via phone and email about the status of the car as it was being repaired and was most helpful in getting the car sent back over to JM porsche when it was complete. She also informed of the minor repair that would done by the JM porsche that sat. morning. The collision center volunteered to absorb the cost of the repair done by the dealer since they had already confirmed the car was completely repaired and I had already paid them. (push rods on the convertible top were cracked) All of the service advisors at both JM Porsche and the Collision center were most helpful and made the task of delivering and retrieving the car on a sat. much easier than I had anticipated.

I am very pleased with my experience purchasing this car. Michael and Ryan in the Internet Sales Division were extremely helpful. I had a short window of time that allowed me to fly north to pick up the car and return home to Key West. When I arrived in Atlanta it was a relief to find that everything that needed to be completed was completed. Your staff went above and beyond to make sure that the whole process was smooth and hassle free. I know that the next time I am looking for another Porsche my first stop will be your web site. -- Greg Daniels.

Great service department, but you REALLY get stuck paying for the Porsche name. Get your parts off of the Internet and save yourself a lot of money. But, when your car needs work, they guys know what they are doing. Cheap mechanics will destroy a Porsche, so get the work done by these professionals.
