Beware the "No Service" Department
Be extremely cautious and question everything these guys do with your vehicle. I took mine in for a leak and $700+ later, I had to take it back because it still leaked. I was told "we made a mistake". There is no way that they properly inspected the vehicle after the repair or this stupid mistake would have been caught. They did spend some time inspecting so that they could try to add other repairs at insanely high prices. Pressure will be applied to sell you while your car is captive in the shop, so stop and think hard about shopping around. All in all, the techniques that Jim Ellis uses does not instill the trust that I need in a car mechanic. Good luck with them and BEWARE.

great car buying experience
Hilton Young made my car buying experience very comfortable. I never felt that I was being "sold" a car. This was the first car that I chose on my own and bought on my own. I was nervous going in thinking that I would get the hard sell or be taken advantage of. I never once felt pressured or that I was getting the hard sell (I walked out of another dealership because it seemed they were trying to force me into signing something before I even decided that I wanted that car.) Mr. Young answered all of my questions. I would recommend Jim Ellis and specifically Hilton Young to anyone looking to purchase a new car. I drove nothing but Honda Civics for 20 years and now I LOVE MY MAZADA3!!!

Worst experience ever
Please see this horrible customer service experience that I received at Jim Ellis Mazda of Atlanta. I made an appointment to bring in my Mazda 3 for service due to a power steering recall. They scheduled me for the repair and quoted a two hour wait time for the repair. Upon my arrival at 10:20am, the same employee re-confirmed the repair and quoted me a two and a half hour wait time. He said that the estimated time was a worst-case scenario and that the car might be ready sooner. Around 11:00am, he came over and talked me into getting new windshield wipers and air filters, with a free car wash. I agreed and continued to wait patiently until 12:15pm when this employee returned to say that my car was being washed and would be ready in 10 minutes. The problem was that my car was not ready in 10 minutes I waited two more hours until nearly 2pm before the car was finished. No explanation. I am currently out of work and was registered to attend a career fair which I had to miss due to the long wait. I tried to find the employee or a manager but they were at lunch and no one could help me. If they would have told me that the repairs would take nearly four hours, I would have gladly scheduled for another day! I emailed my concerns to a manager & requested a partial refund and got a response a week later--they offered a credit on a future visit. Why would I return to a business that treated me rudely, did not fulfill their obligation, and refused to correct the situation?

Jim Ellis Mazda will rip you off!!!!
I purchased a 2008 Mazda 6 three years ago from Jim Ellis Mazda. Now that I am considering buying a new car I decided to take my car to Carmax for an appraisal. When I got the appraisal I found out that my car had been involved in a rear end collision and the trunk had been rewelded together, also the trunk lid was not factory. The salesman at Jim Ellis Mazda failed to mention this to me. I would not have bought the car if I had known this information prior to now. This was not a used car when I purchased it. It was supposed to be a new car. I will never buy another car from Jim Ellis Mazda again. Now I wonder if this is the reason my transmission had to be replaced under warranty???
