Best Around
"Great service. Well pleased with service and sales. Best experience I have ever had in the purchase of an automobile. I will be back for any future purchases. The fact you have a great product in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI helps your reputation also. This is the second VW Jetta TDI that I have purchased new (the first was from another dealer). The quality of the car brought me back to VW. The quality (or lack thereof) of the former dealership did not bring me back to them. I was told about you another satisfied customer who bought SAAB's and Audi's from your other dealerships, and they told me that they thought I would really like you. Thanks for the good service!--- Henry Munn"

Great value. Not what you'd expect from dealership
I bought my Honda Accord from you all 2 years ago today, and I am still loving it! No major problems and I have gotten so many compliments on the car. Thanks!--Theresa Steadman

VERY poor customer service in service department
I bought a brand new Jetta TDI in July 2010. Within a few months, I had to bring it in for obnoxious interior rattles. I clearly explained where the rattles were coming from (I even provided VIDEO of the rattling as it was happening), but despite keeping my car for over a week, the technicians just couldn't seem to diagnose and repair the problem. They insisted on being able to replicate the rattle (apparently the video and audio weren't enough proof that there was a problem). It took roughly two weeks (during which time the technician was driving my car to and from his own home for "extended test drives") to get my car back, but the rattling persisted. What's worse, throughout the time my car was in the shop, I received little to no communication; if I hadn't called to get updates on my car, I never would have gotten any at all! Less than a year later, my car is back in for two new rattles (and, again, I have video: http://bit.ly/gU8hXF), and the technicians STILL can't seem to "find" the rattles. They've had my car now for almost a week (today is Friday; they've had it since Tuesday a.m.) and so far I've received not a single phone call update. Apparently, they're content to leave their customers in the dark for days at a time! Even worse, when I call for an update, no one can give me one! And now I have to wait until MONDAY just to get the status of my car because the technician working on my car will not be in this weekend. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

Stress Free Sales Experience
"This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Jim Ellis VW. Ross Ivey's low key and friendly approach worked very well for us. Trenton Draper, who helped us with the purchase of our new Passat in 2003, had the same attitude. That is one of the reasons we returned to Jim Ellis when it was time to search for a new vehicle. We felt that your sales staff would help us make a good decision, not pressure us to buy a car. Both my wife and I would like to encourage you to support this approach to vehicle sales and to recognize Ross and Trenton for customer service.--- Howard Shealy"

Nice Guys. . . Terrible Mechanics
Here's the deal. . . if you have a Volkswagen under warranty. . Definitely bring it here. If you are going to pay out of pocket for anything. . don't come here. These guys misdiagnosed my Jetta twice in a week. Luckily, I was skeptical of their assessment and didn't have the service done either time. Approach these guys with an understanding they often throw parts at your car instead of getting to the root of the problem. A potential minor job at an independent shop quickly goes overboard at this shop. Like I said. . extremely helpful and great communicators with warranty fixes and recalls but needs improvement otherwise.
