We just had our floors sanded and refinished and was very pleased with the service we received. They were extremely knowledgeable, courteous, reliable, professional, conscientious and customer service oriented. From the initial appointment,to being very careful with the moving of our furniture, to matching the stain and keeping us informed every step of the way, they were a delight to work with. If we had a concern or question, they did their best to make us satisfied customers. Thank you Pat, Tim and Clark

Good finished product, but TERRIBLE on the customer service - owner was a jerk. I had to followup multiple times to get John Andrew to come out and quote what was almost 2/3rd of my entire house I wanted to get done. He finally came, did the master quote and we agreed on 3 phases (it was expensive) because we couldn't afford it all at once. Phase 1 went great, again, nice finished product. Their workers did bust the front door blinds and when we showed it to John Andrew, he taped them back together and refused to replace them and even went so far as to claim it wasn't his guys (we all know it was because they were in/out the front door for 4 days) Getting phase 2 scheduled was where they went wrong with us. I personally visited their office and sat down with Tony to go over the rooms we needed resurfaced and stained. He took the info and said he would have John call me to schedule. Days later, no call back. Should I really have to beg these guys for my business? Heck no... we had already paid for a $6000 job and were about to give them another $2000 in business for Phase 2. I called and left a message and John Andrew called me the next afternoon. The quote he sent for phase 2 was different that what we initially discussed so I had to resend him the original quote. He came back with the usual (our vendors costs went up, insuance, etc). Baloney! Not enough room to type more, but bottom line - this co is not worth the hassel. Take your business elsewhere.

I was scheduled to have some repairs done to my floors and the company called to cancel the evening before. I waited over a month for them to come, then they canceled. I was kept being told that the owner would call me, but he never did. I got treated very disrespectful. They didn't do a good job on my floors the first time they put them in. Very dissatisfied.

WOW!!! Just had my floors done by John Andrew Flooring and I could not be more pleased. The owner came out for the estimate and advised us on Vinyl Plank flooring that looks like hardwood because we have 2 Great Dane's and a Labrador Retriever. He gave us lots of samples and even talked to us about putting down an E rated pad that would help prevent the echo sound that you would get with laminate flooring. When the flooring was delivered to my house to let it acclimate for a week, the owner showed up to go over the process with me and answer any questions. The job started the following Monday and his installers Gustavo & Elvis showed up right on time along with the owner. The job went by smooth and they ripped out all of my flooring throughout my entire house and installed Vinyl Plank flooring. Gustavo & Elvis were very meticulous and OCD when installing my floors, because if it was not perfect, then it was not up to their standards. When Gustavo & Elvis finished a room, they would put the furniture back and applied protective pads under all the furniture. John Andrew came by during the week to check up on the job as well as to do the final walkthrough. I could not be more pleased with his recommendation and the work that his guys did. The Vinyl plank flooring is great for my big dogs because it is scratch proof and waterproof. Also, within 1 day of having these floors put down, I am no longer taking allergy meds because of all the dander buildup in my previous carpet

Thank you very much for the great review! We are so glad you love your new floors and that you no longer have to take allergy medicine, that's great news! Please keep us in mind for future projects!
The work was done in my house in 2009 but don't dismiss my comments on that basis or John, throw a "time" regulation my way. Bad work is simply bad work and poor customer relations is poor customer relations . I warned the salesperson , M.G. about high humidity in part of my house but apparently it wasn't taken into consideration. The hardwoods were put in another part of the house to cure for 24 or 48hrs??. Six months after installation, all of the flooring buckled and M.G. is no longer there. I called and John deliberately made me feel it was my fault. Finally after 4 years of dealing with ugly buckled floors I called in vendors for answers. Shame on you, John, you should have owned up to the problem and taken care of it in 2009.

We just had John Andrew lay custom oak floors in our bedroom/sitting room and in our study. I believe this is the 4th time they've put in wood floors for us, and we couldn't be more pleased. Very responsive to the customer and excellent craftsmen who do the work (especially this last job--kudos to Tim and Rafael.)

I had an issue with a prior contractor leaving an unfinished job. John Andrews came out within 24 hours to finish the job, and I was SO pleased. They had all kinds of proper equipment for the job (unlike the prior contractor I had used). Rafeal did a top notch job, and I was totally comfortable leaving him alone in the house. He has been working for John Andrews for years. I have been driving by John Andrew's store ever since I moved to the area 8 years ago, and would totally recommend! They converted carpeted steps into hardwood steps, and they look awesome! Even my daughter commented how good they looked, and my husband thought it looked like they had been here the entire time (since they blended so well with our existing hardwoods).

He did an insurance job since he was prepaid I had no choice or say when things were going wrong. his workers are constantly bickering and pressed for time. I asked to use the wide planks. I came home they were taken away and small wood was installed. the floor was never sanded enough . It looks like someone put in plywood. It makes me cringe every time I look at it. He is so cheap ,he made an issue of putting wood under the stove and cabinets. Every time I bake the food is on a slant. Also everything is too low. Every part of this job was an issue. Horrible company . He moved all the furniture into my office, They made a huge gouge/scratch in the new floor. He tried to blame his friend who was the other contractor. John Andrews workers moved the furniture. He refused to repair the damage.

After researching this complaint thoroughly, we have determined that it was not John Andrew Flooring who was contracted to preform this work on your home. We do not receive prepayment for work and have not completed any insurance work involving wider planks. We respectfully ask you to please remove this review.
John Andrew Flooring did an excellent job. We had him refinish floors, new carpet and paint. Every job was handled very professional and timely. They were all honest and patient with all my requests. I would use them again and again.

Upon the customers request we made a claim against the flooring in their home, to the distributor; who sent out their claims inspector. He found that the humidity level in the home was set to 15%; National Wood Flooring Association guidelines state that the humidity level needs to be 35%-65% in order for the floors to perform at its best. Please note- the home owner complaint was made a year after original installation. Reference: N.W.F.A Appendix B- Acclimation.
Called John Andrew Flooring after a friend recommended them for hardwoods and carpet. My husband and I couldn't be happier, their staff was very knowledgeable as well as helpful! We'll definitely call them for our next flooring project!

Don't listen to this guy. His company refinished my floor and did a terrible job. I have dust, hair and sanding grit under the finish. After 10 days living in my basement and after he tried to fix the mistakes, I also have scratches on the top polyurethane coat. He would not acknowledge the problems, and demanded full payment. Don't make the same mistakes I did.
