After, Kellie the previous director left this daycare, the quality of the daycare decreased a lot. The new director is very biased she sits in one corner with her son and help him with his school work. The new director and staff doesn't focus on other children.

We bounced a bit from center to center. We were really happy at a place in Duluth, until a director change forced us out. From there, we landed at another center that had to close their doors due to mismanagement. We love this center. The director, Mrs. Kellie is great! We had enrolled in the private pre-k program, but decided shortly in, to move to the GA pre-k program. The teachers were great and followed the standards set by the state. The center is clean and very well kept. Communication is flowing. Concerns are always addressed. And the teachers do not seem to turn over (thanks to an outstanding director I would imagine). As a parent, you will never see the owner. She is off site. But in honesty, she does not need to be present with Kellie as the director. Tuition is inline with the area (S. Forsyth is pricey).

We have had problems with our son staying all day with other schools but when we enrolled him at Legacy he cannot wait for bedtime so he can wake up and get ready for school. We love it, his teachers are great and really give him the attention he needs.

This is an update to the review I wrote a couple of months ago - Legacy at Shakerag is the best! I am so comfortable with the care and learning experience. My son is now one year, and loves school! And he doesn't come home exhausted like he used to at his old daycare. I'm updating rating to five stars! Old review: My ten month old son was just enrolled at this Legacy location - it is wonderful so far. Love the staff and the facility - very clean and light and airy. Seems like a loving environment, much nicer than comparable facilities I have seen (at the same price or more). I would give five stars, but we have just started there and I need more time to assess.

My son is currently enrolled at this legacy location and both he & I love it! They are very clean [something I'm very particular about] and you can feel the loving and caring environment the minute you come thru the door. They have very low teacher: student ratios that allows for a lot of one on one with the children. I really like their separate lunch room; which encourages table manners; but do think their curriculum is a bit slow and elementary for my son, who tends to get bore easily. Other than that he has a good time and has been doing very well in other areas [including potty training!].
