These guys were on time which is more than I can say for most service people, I have spent hours waiting for them to show up. I really like that everything was explained and they gave me options to fit my budget.

Disappointing! Hot spots not resolved after 2 new units purchased. They now want to cut holes in the bedroom walls to let the air circulate to fix the problem for an Additional $676.00. My teenagers are really excited about that. Or I can pay an additional $1600.00 for duct work to fix the problem, that the Salesman said would be fixed with the 2 units costing $15000.00. Ready to have them come and get it out of my house. I do have to say the Technicians they have sent out have been nice.

I had them come out to quote me on a ac unit replacement. First I had to pay them $50 just to have someone come out and tell me I needed a new unit... I already knew that. After I explained I didn't want a salesmen to come out they finally sent a technician. He spent three hours giving me his sales pitch on the company and why they are cool. I said I didn't care about that and that I just wanted an estimate to repair my AC system. He said he couldn't give me a detailed proposal until he did his heat load calculation (which is what you want your AC technician to do), and he wouldn't do his heat load calculation until I promised to let him replace my AC unit. All of this while he spent three hours trying to sell his service. He could have done the heat load calculation in half that time. I explained I needed several bids before choosing a contractor and he would only give me loose estimates of the work I needed. The informal quoted prices ranged from $9k to $12k. I knew this was a fairly high estimate but I was stupid enough to get ripped off. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE A CONTRACTOR WITHOUT GETTING AN ESTIMATE?????? Their prices were too high anyway as I found an experienced contractor who did the work for $8k... Jon was talking about $9k - $12k. Johns Refridgeration is a rip off.....

Thank you for the information you have given us. I am however a little confused by it. We do not charge for new unit estimates. We do charge a $45.00 service charge to send a technician out to a customers home and diagnose the problem with an HVAC unit. Also our service consultants do not sell new units. We have quality trained Comfort Consultants that will meet with you for no charge and evaluate your needs and wants to provide you with the best comfort system available. One that will meet all of your needs. Part of this process is doing a quick load calculation. We also go a step further and do a computerized load that gives us the exact sizeing. As far as price, you can always get someone cheaper. But at what cost? We provide superior installations and only use the best equipment available so I would not expect to be the cheapest. It sounds like we had some major communication problems with you and would like to appolagize for that. Customer service is our top priority and as you can see from our other reviews we normally accomplish that. Once again I would like to thank you for your feed back. We will address any issues we can and continue to improve our service.
Johns refrigeration just came in to fix my air conditionong problem that no other repair Co. could do. They were timely clean communicative thorough and compedent. I would recomend them to all my friends.

We recently had an AC issue and called John's for svc.. I was very impressed from the call back right away.. to the end repair and result in service.. Don was very professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of the repair... he was very friendly and seemed as if he genuinely loved his job...he even pointed out a "surprise" hornets nest we knew nothing about!! I would recommend this company and will call them again, if we need service again~~

Called them at 3:30pm on a Tuesday. They said they would arrive between 4-6p that day and they did. Our A/C was blowing hot air. They fixed the problem (which was caused by another company incorrectly installing a themostat). We live in a condo so he also located and labelled our unit on the rooftop. The tech did an excellent job of explaining to us what was wrong and answering all of our questions. He was very respectful and wore shoe coverings indoors. The total amount of the bill was reasonable. We will call them next time we need service and are considering signing up for their maintenance plan.

Thank you for taking the time to give us such an excellent review! We realize there are many HVAC companies to choose from and as you found they are NOT all the same! We daily try to differentiate ourselves through acquiring industry training and giving excellent customer service all the way to the little things like wearing shoe covers to protect your home. The Peak Performance Maintenance Agreement is an excellent investment and you can't go wrong with the benefits provided by it as Brian explained to you. Looking forward to taking care of your HVAC needs!
5 Years ago, when we needed a cooling solution, they came through. They continue to come through time and time again! We have not thought about using anyone else. They are professional, flexible and willing to go the extra mile.

After using a different A/C maintenance last year, I returned to Johns this year despite paying a bit more. Johns service is excellent; I can count on them to find and fix any problems (and even clean up the leaves around my unit). I won't "stray" again!

Even though we can't be excited that you "strayed" we are very pleased you decided to return, and more so that you recognize the value of the service that we provide! John's Refrigeration installed our new heat pump and air handler this past December. Everybody we dealt with were very professional and polite. They consulted with us in great detail prior to the installation and even followed up after completion to make sure everything was working okay. The installation crew did an excellent job and also cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. We would definitely recommend John's Refrigeration for anybody needing new equipment or service and repairs.

The heating and air conditioning field is so much more than just a box to blow cold air in summer and warm air in winter. We realize we need to address not only the equipment and duct system but our customers needs such as air filtration and even temperatures throughout their home! A friend told me about John's Refrigeration when my heat pump on my air conditioner stopped working this winter. The service was fantastic. The technician arrived 10 minutes into the 2-hour window, explained what the issue was very clearly, and did the job right the first time. He gave me some tips about what to ask for when I do my next air conditioner service (and didn't pressure me to use John's), and explained some options that I can use to make all parts of my house cool evenly when the worst heat of summer arrives. I was so pleased with their overall service that I decided to get a service agreement with them so that they'll handle all my air conditioning checks and maintenance in the future. Thanks, John's!

I recently had to use the services of John's refrigeration- I had already used another business that diagnosed a problem but it was not fixed- John's refrigeration came out to the rescue and not only corrrectly diagnosed my problem, but they fixed what the other company had messed up!!! Thank you Johns Refrigeration- as a single mom, I was nervous about letting people in my house, but Johns was very professional in their attire and made me feel at ease.

recently i had a problem with my compressor outside. and i had 2 other companies come out and look at. all of which "replace it" were the first words out of there mouth( its 6 years old) and then when i called johns refrigeration i was presented a whole different approach. the technition ( i beleive his name was andy but not totally sure about that) showed up a half hour early and had the unit working better than ever in a little less than an hour. so theres how an $8000 install turned into a $ 750 dollar repair. also unlike other companies in the past johns refrigeration listened to my complaints and didnt look at me like i was crazy. i had a slight rattle coming from the unit and no one had ever been able to explain it to me. he simply showed me that it was the register on my ceiling making that noise and i replace it and its been great ever since. it was a couple of months ago but i just havent gotten the time to get around and get on here. wow this really is an A class company, i will make sure all of my freinds and family use them.

We greatly appreciate the review! Unfortunately "other companies" condemning working equipment happens too often and that's why we offer a free second opinion on compressor and system replacement!
