Really beautiful work.
Joe has restored three mahogany pieces for me and each one looks beautiful, better, in fact, than my memory of them in their prime. The first was a server that my mother had purchased in 1941.She kept it in its original condition until 1975 when she retired to Florida. Then she had it painted antique white, to better match her new sunny environment.
I’ve had the server for about fifteen years now and last May I called Joe Bailey about restoring the wood. He came out to look at the piece, gave me an estimate on the work, and two months later brought back the server looking like a real treasure. The rich wood grain shows beautifully.
I was so pleased that I asked him to restore two small, hand-carved tables that my grandfather, who was a cabinet-maker, made in the 1920’s. Like the server, they look lovely. Very fine work at reasonable price. Highly recommend.
