Joyful Heart Learning Center

This is by far the best preschool in Alpine and all of East county. My girls have attended 2 other preschools and I've also shopped tons of the East County preschools (10+), so I know what's out there. Just when I was about to give up searching for a good pre-school for my youngest daughter, we came to Joyful Hearts. From the moment we pulled in and saw the beautiful grassy playground/area to the first steps through the door, I knew that this was right where we needed to be. It is always spotlessly clean, the teachers are fabulous, and the director is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Not to mention that the class size is fairly small so the kids get all the attention they need and don't get lost in the crowd.
I am so glad that we decided to send our daughter here as she absolutely loves her school and hugs her teachers every day when it's time to leave (She never did that at her last preschool!) They really go out of their way to make school and learning fun for the kids. To top it all off, she is getting great biblical teaching from people who really love God.

My child loves his school. The teachers are both loving and qualified. They have displayed a genuine investment to my child's developement and given me some valuable insight into his learning process. My son's teacher's experience was key in helping me get early intervention in his speech difficulty. Most of all I love this school because of it's dedication to the whole child,(body, mind,and spirit)and support to the whole famiy. The small class size reasures me that my child's needs are being met. My experience with two other preschools convinces me this is the best preschool in town!

I had my daughter at this school for 2 years. I think the teachers have a harder time keeping up with all the children, due to their older age. The children do not respond well to the teachers. The cost was through the roof, and I was really only paying for babysitters. My daughter did not learn very much except for a few songs. Since I have moved her to a different preschool, she has been taught so much in this first month of school. What a difference a school makes. The teachers at this new school are caring and not cold. They take a huge interest in the children's education. I do not recommend this preschool if you want your child to be ready for Kindergarten. I drive down the hill to take my daughter to a better preschool.
