Everything from Oil Changes to Fluid Services, plus Tires in select markets.
My dealer for my 2003 Cadillac Seville told me I needed brake pads at my last service - Price $400. Heard about the $99 4-wheel special and went to Just Brakes. After they had my car for 2 hours, the estimate came to $600 for "special" pads - mine were not available for the $99 special, new rotors - mine were too thin to machine; new hardware for $50 a wheel, a brake fluid flush - metal contamination - for $50. I told him no and would not even discuss this - just kept saying Put it back together, I am leaving. Went to Sear Automotive at Northgate - the rotors were fine - plenty of wear left. The pads were nothing extraordinary; the hardware was fine and the fluid though dark was fine - price for 4 wheel repair - $250.

I had work done at Just Brakes in early 2009. Like most here, I got sucked into hundreds of dollars of work, but did think my brakes were a little better. Fast forward a few months and the front end of my car shakes like crazy whenever I put on the brakes. I was just about to go back until I found these reviews. ...and the most troubling part is that Just Brakes owners have not come on here to rationalize or try to help customers when it's blatantly obvious there are many unhappy ones. Says a lot about the integrity of the company (or lackthereof)

B/c of their $99 adverts, I decided to take my car to Just Brakes to have them replace my brake pads on my Mazda. I left my car overnight and asked them to call me the next morning when they could tell me what needed to be done. I knew ahead of time- it most likely wasn't going to be $99, but figured it would be less than a dealership. John, at Just Brakes called the next morning and told me there were 'major problems' and that the calipers where bad- needed to be rebuilt, etc., etc., etc.. At the end of his pitch, he tells me it's going to cost $650. I initially told him over the phone to go ahead with the 'repairs'. However, it just didn't feel right; so within 3 minutes, I called back and told him to stop and under no circumstances are they to touch my brakes and that I would be there in 10 min to pick up my car. He told me that all my tires and brakes where off the car already. I told him to put them back on- he's not doing the work. When I told him I didn't beleive he was being honest with me, he hung up the phone on me. Anyway, I get to Just Brakes, get my car (they didn't try to charge me for anything- thankfully), and take it to a friend's mechanic/shop in Norcross. Total charge: $151. The mechanic said there was NOTHING wrong with my calipers or anything else John mentioned (besides the pads needing to be replaced). Just Brakes = criminals.

These people are just out to get anyone they can. Trying to get a good faith estimate out of them is impossible. They admitted to me that the $99.98 for most brakes is not typical. MOST cars are WAY MORE than this. it's $99.98 just to HAVE THEM LOOK AT YOUR CAR. Then when they do -- they will tell you, you need calipers. Such a scam...Go to Sears Auto Center. They don't take you for a ride

I called around to a few brakes places but by far the best price was Jist Brakes on N Druid Hills...until I got there. After two hours their diagnosis was for nearly $600 worth of repairs. They claimed I needed new calipers and my wheel cylinders were leaking. I asked them to just replace the pads and machine the rotors and they refused to do only that. Finally I asked John to put everything back and get my car ready and thy j would take it somewhere else. He yelled back 'why did you waste my time' and hung up on me. I retrieved my car and watched them put everything back on so they wouldn't retaliate on my car. Thank goodness I got out of there but what a waste of MY time.

2 years ago I took my Toyota to the dealer because my brakes were making funny noises. The dealer told me I needed $200 of work done. I came here to get a second opinion. They tried to get me to do $500 of work - I felt like going back to the dealer, but Just Brakes manipulated me into staying by telling me they had to do an hour of work just to take the brakes apart, inspect them and put them back together. So I cut out some pieces and worked the bill down to $300 and got the work done at Just Brakes. Fast forward to today. Lately, my brakes have been slipping. So I went to the dealer and they told me I needed $150 to replace the pads. I had the warranty from Just Brakes, so I figured I'd come back to Just Brakes and have it done more cheaply. Just Brakes ran the same routine on me this time that they did the time before. I sat in the waiting room an hour and a half while they took the brakes apart, then they told me I needed $800 of work. I was skeptical. By that time, I'd been there for 2 hours and had to meet some friends for dinner, so I told them I couldn't do it today. Then I looked them up on kudzu, and found out that I'm not the only one who has been conned by these guys. Think about it: the Toyota dealer knows what they are doing. If I had more repairs that needed to be done on my car, the dealer would have told me, because they would have welcomed the extra business. Stay away. I'm glad they only got me once.

I took my car here with explicit instructions: just change the pads and shoes, I already had the system inspected. They assured me that's all they would do. As expected, I got a call telling me I needed an additional $300 worth of work. I said I didn't want it, and then they threatened to charge me for just putting my parts back together if I didn't get the additional service. I am a female, and I felt like they took advantage of me- or at least tried to. They also said that if I "let anyone else even touch my brakes," that my warranty on their work would be void. I said that was fine- and I did take it elsewhere. The other shop said my brakes were just fine, and they recommended no service at all. DO NOT GO HERE! They were rude, unprofessional and intimidating.

These guys are hacks! I went in to get my brakes replaced and after they cut them off they realized that they did not have replacement brakes in stock...and it was too late in the day to get any. So I had to arrange my own transportation home and back teh next day. Then they put them on wayyyy too tight, so much so that I went to dealer to have they take a look - they had so much trouble loosening them, they almost had to cut them off! And of course I had no recourse because I didn't go back to them to repair the problem - why woudl I go back to the idiots???

They are kings of the "bait and switch" game. Today, I witnessed the best "two man" team ever at committing what must be fraud. Using the "bad cop/good cop" technique, they trample and cheat many patrons out of hundreds and thousands of dollars. First, they bring you in under the $99 deal and then magically, it quickly reaches $500 to $1,000 range. In all honesty, someone should call the state attorney's office and report them for fraud. They operate with impunity; almost criminal. Oh yeah, they seem to pray mostly on Blacks and Hispanics, and of course, women.

It's too bad there isn't half or even a negative star rating .... I went in for the $99 dollar deal and was told I needed $900 worth of work and that my vehicle was unsafe to drive... for the record, the 'parts' I supposedly needed were just $200 retail at Advance,(so you know their 'cost' had to be less than that) so $700 in labor was way off the mark. This business is looking to take advantage of unknowledgable and unsuspecting customers. Don't go to any of them!!! Read other reviews on the web - use google or your favorite search engine.

I had a brake job done on my 2001 Odyssey. They supposedly replaced the entire rear braking system, drums, pads, fluid, lines hardware. After spending nearly $500, I had a squeking, grinding car. The inital work took 4 hrs of waiting for the car. I immediately went back and told the manager that something is wrong, and then waited for another 3 hours for them to look at what may be wrong, they "readjusted" them. The next day the same horrible noises came back, when I called them up they told me that the pads and shoes have to marry and that I should drive it for another 200 miles. To make a long story short, I took it back several times at 3-4 hrs each time. Eventually they said they were putting on dealer parts, but I still had the problems. When I contacted their head office, the district manager suggested I go to a different location of theirs, so I did go to the Dunwoody location. After having spent in eccess of 30 hr I now spent an additional 4 hrs, to be told the parts that were on there had a recall the day before I got there, and that was the problem. To this day I am having issues, and cant get them to refund my money. I was promised a ful refund upon submission of paperwork from another certified mechanic, which I have done. I still have yet to receive any refund.

I had my brakes and flush done at Just Brakes on N. Druid Hills. Four months later, I had the car check by my dealership, to find out the flush was never done and brakes installed poorly. I called the Matthew the manager, but the reply was rude and arrogant, in a sense, where there's nothing I could do about the rip-off. These people are terrible!!!!

I took my toyota in for a simple brake job. Once they took all they brakes off they stated the estimate at $450. Then I took some things off and got the estimate down to $300. After they worked on it they told me they had to tack on extra fees for it being a 4x4, brakes not in stock, special brakes, additional waste removal ect... The end result was it was $450 no matter what and the results were not that good, as I had to take them back to get them aligned again. They could have told me that stuff a head of time in the estimate, but they choose to con people. The same thing happed to two other people in the waiting room. Stay far away from them if you can. They do poor service and tack on extra fees once they take your brakes off and get you in there for the cheap $99 work. I guarantee they will always say you need extra work above the $99 no matter what. Stay away if you can.

Just Brakes serviced my car, their door crasher, $99 brake service only gets you in the door. I have a 1998 car, they wanted me to do a full brake overhaul.
