I moved to Atlanta in 1998 and I've gone to K&M ever since. They were recommended by a college friend. I trust them. Having been ripped off many times before I moved here, I was very defensive and accusatory but they took the time to walk me through all the repairs, line items, costs, etc. They've worked on five cars, American and Japanese, and none of them less than ten years old. Kaz and Moody rock. You may have to call back and ask them how they're doing. They may be brusque. Not often, but it happens. Hang in there. they are car mechanic gold.

I made an appointment to drop off my car because the check engine light was on. I also wanted them to give me an estimate for replacing my brake pads. I dropped off my car at 8am and they said that they would call to tell me what was wrong- they never called. I finally called them at 3pm only to be told they didn't know what was wrong with the car and they proceeded to charge me for the diagnosis. The owner was very rude and dismissive; he hardly acknowledged my existence as I stood at the counter. They will never get my business.

I took my car here to get an issue fixed and they were awful. First, the service was really bad. The mechanics were standing around talking and didn't come over to help me for at least 5 minutes. Then, when they told me my car was fixed, it wasn't! The problem was still there. I took it back and they insisted that they had taken care of it and done what I asked. So, I took my car to another mechanic and it turned out that they didn't install the part correctly! I ended up paying for the same repair twice. When I called K&M to provide the feedback, they were really defensive and did nothing to attempt to resolve my complaint. I do not recommend K&M auto repair.

I started going to K&M Auto Repair in 1998. since then they have worked on a GMC Sierra, Toyota Tundra, Audi A4, Mercedes C230, and Volvo XC90. This is what you get when you go there; some of the best prices in Atlanta, for ASE Certified mechanics, Not shade tree mechanics. And if they say it will be ready today, it will be ready today. No surprises. if something comes up during the repair that wasn't quoted or diagnosed, they will call to make sure. I never had a problem that wasn't properly repaired on time and on budget. Always very easy to talk and deal with.

I never hesitate to recommend K&M Auto. The main thing for me is that I feel I can trust them. My cars are relatively old. On several occasions they recommended AGAINST certain repairs (that I thought were important)because of the high cost in comparison to the value of the car. They seem like they never want to overcharge me for anything. I find Moody and Kaz easy to talk with. The rest of my local family takes their cars there, too. I feel that I don't have to worry when I take my car to K&M, and that's saying a lot.

No need to go to expensive and less effective dealer repair shops. These people know what they are doing mechanically and are great with customer service, too.

K&M has been in our neighborhood for almost 15 years and this is because of their great costumer service and dependability. My parents have been going there, and since I have been a car owner I do as well. We never go anywhere else! Their remodeled shop is customer friendly and the owners' amiable attitudes are inviting. They are very knowledgeable and would never be dishonest. The previous comment is ignorant and unfair. I just wanted to put my two cents in and appreciate the great service we have had over the years

i began going here based on the recommendation of a friend. Seemed reasonable at first, more recently I had an issue where I had $400 of recommended repairs given to me. Upon reviewing my records I found I had done most of my maintenance recently that they had recommended. When I reviewed the recommended repairs with Kaz he agreed that the repairs were not needed. So my advice to you would be to treat them as you would most mechanics -- question everything that they recommend to you and have them show it to you. They are certainly not more trustworthy than your average mechanic but probably no less either. J

I've taken my 2003 Jetta here for both maintance and repair of odds and ends. K&M has always fixed the problem and I trust their advice. I haven't had good communication with them though and some things I've called to ask them to check on once my car is there don't get done because they seem too busy and hectic. Their bills aren't well itemized or detailed and it is hard to keep track of what exactly they have done to your car!

Despite three bad reviews here I think K&M are one of the best repair shops around. I know several people who have taken their cars there (including me) and were very happy. These are in addition to the 24 positive reviews on this site. As for the bad reviews, it sounds like if the mechanics did an honest job but either couldnt' do the repairs or the customer had a difference of opinion on what caused the problems, etc. With so many great reviews (and more satisfied customer who have never posted a review) I would definitely recomomend them. They are very trustworthy.

I recently took my girlfriend' car to them. She has delt with them on past maintenance issues. I told them that the car was leaking oil and overfilled according to the dipstick. I was not sure at the time but they had done the oil change on it. They told me it would take about 45 minutes. I didn't wait around though and left thinking it would be completed in the time frame they quoted. I called my girlfriend, told her that it will be completed that day and asked who changed the oil last? She said K&M did. I told her that she should bring this point up about them overfilling it when she goes to pick it up. Later, on that day my girlfriend calls to follow up on the status and they say it will be ready the following day at noon and cost about $200. Around 5:45 pm the same day that I took it in they call me and leave me a message that it's ready to be picked up. So, my girlfriend and I go to pick it up the following morning and they are still working on it. I asked the mechanic if the leaks were caused by overfill. He basically did not say yes or no and showed me the 3 places it was leaking. She drives a 2004 Honda CRV with 67,000 miles approximately 25 miles per week if that and suddenly there are numerous oil leaks. The final bill was aroung $282 with tax. My girlfriend who is a non-confrontational agreed to pay without question. I pushed the issue that they may have initially caused the problem. The owner didn't want to hear it and threatened to beat me up. Unbelieveable!

I have been going to K and M since 2006. It is such a relief to be able to go to a mechanic you can trust. They never upsell you, and actually I have been in their very nice building a few times when they have downsold people. Also, I have yet to go around to another shop (I obsessively comparison shop) and find a better price than they have on services. They are my go-to mechanics and will be as long as they are open and I live relatively close.

Their pricing was well below competitors and service was well above average. They fixed my Acura and went above and beyond the call of duty. The waiting area was very comfortable. The WiFi really helped a lot. I will definitely return if I have any other problems. Thanks Kaz!
