I count Kim Kirkup as one of my most valuable blessings and resources. One afternoon I was sharing an ongoing struggle with a friend. There are times in life that you need more than a friend or family to help give you an objective view of a hardship, and offer resources to use to work through the problem. Kim Kirkup is one of the most knowledgable people I have ever met. Her hands on suggestions turned an almost intolerable situation into a manageable plan that really made a difference in our family. In her office, she has a large library of resources (she has read them all) which she loaned to me on several occasions. I have refered many friends to Kim and feel confident doing so.

Kim Kirkup has been working with our family for over 5 years. She has helped us navigate through difficult life changes such as depression, divorce, aging parents, adolescent issues and child ADHD. Kim is such a treasure! I found her to be genuinely interested, intuitive, and resourceful. She always knew the one thing to say that would plant a thought that would lead to positive change. Kim is a great listener and is sensitive in her responses and assessments. She is quick to make appointments and get us scheduled so we could move forward. I never knew your counselor could grow with your family but she has!

As someone who has gone through a long list of other psychologists, Kim Kirkup truly stands apart from every other mental health professional I've ever dealt with. Finding the right psychologist was an incredibly long and frustrating process for me.Before coming to see her, I'd never really put much stock in psychotherapy and I thought all of my therapists were full of crap. She completely changed my views about therapy, and for the first time I was able to make real, lasting progress. She is extremely kind and caring, and takes a personal interest in helping people. I've known her for nearly seven years and even now I'd never go see anyone else for help.

Kim is fabulous with kids! My 9 year old son has been seeing Kim for the last year and she has helped him learn coping mechanisms to deal with his anger and sadness over our divorce, and my ex-husband's subsequent re-marriage to a gal with 2 young kids of her own. Kim is caring and compassionate, has helped my son gain his confidence back, and learn that it's ok to be angry and sad but there are positive ways to work through those feelings. Whether or not he's with me or with his dad and his step-family, the tools Kim has taught him really help with his visits with them. I highly recommend her!

I've being seening Kim for several years and she is not your typical therapist. She is my therapist, life coach, career counselor, and friend. She doesn't sit there and dole out advice - she listens and helps me figure out a resolution to an issue, the best course of action to a situation and gives me exercises/worksheets for me to work through. She is compassionate and truly cares. In a world of forms and cookie cutter answers, Kim goes beyond and takes the time to ask the right questions, listen to the answers and uses her experience and expertise to help. She's truly and invaluable resource.

Kim has been my therapist on and off for 4 years now. She has helped me thru some bad times, and now am heading in the right direction, thanks to her. She is kind and compassionate, and tells you what you need to hear not what you want to hear. She is worth her weight in gold...

My wife and I see Kim for marriage counseling. When we got to her, our marriage was in shambles. It was over. I was ready to give up. Kim worked very hard and patiently with us, through many sessions and emails. She saved our marriage and still teaches us new skills to make our great marriage even better! I would trust my life to no one else!
