*****PLEASE READ!!!***** My 2013 VW was shifting hard so I took it to Karma based on all the 5 star reviews. They later called and told me that my transmission was shot and they would need to get a rebuilt one for $5.400, the manager, Jason also told me that my ignition was fried and that my car wouldn't start which was odd considering I've never had a problem with my ignition. Feeling they were being less than honest with me, I picked up my car and took it to the Volkswagen dealership (Jim Ellis) for a diagnostic. THE DIAGNOSIS... LOW TRANSMISSION FLUID $360!!! and there was nothing wrong with my ignition... My car has 63,000 miles and 3,000 past the warranty which is why I didn't take it to the stealership first. They said my transmission is in excellent condition and should be good for at least 100,000 more miles. I told them about Karma's recommendations and they were amazed at the blinding dishonesty by Karma. PLEASE! don't be tricked by all the 5 star reviews like I was.I'm pretty sure they are from Karma and their friends, By the way, Karma's decision according to the manager, that my transmission is shot was based on a single diagnostic code from an OBD scanner which is thrown if the transmission fluid gets low. The ignition... I'm guessing was based purely out of greed on their part for another $350 to replace (or not???) a part that was not broke... Looking back, two years ago my brother took his VW Tiguan to Karma and received a similar diagnoses of $4,0
Area Scottdale, GA
Cost $5,000 - $9,999

I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else. The folks at Karma are friendly, honest, and willing to work around my (crazy!) work travel schedule. Everytime I've come in for a diagnostic, they are very honest with me about which repairs are necessary and which are not (instead of insisting that I need to get repairs just so they get more money, which another area mechanic did!).

Karma VW provided great service at a great price. My 2006 VW Jetta had just 80,000 miles on it, so it was time for a timing belt change and the general 80,000 mile service. I e-mailed Karma and they provided me with a quota ASAP. When I took my car in for an expected 2-day service job, they said it might take one day longer than expected due to another, high-priority job that had come in. However, I got a call the next day saying they had finished with everything in just one day. When I picked up my car, there were no surprises. The amount charged was the amount quoted and they didn't try to sell me on anything else other than reminding me about the next oil change. I will be taking my VW back to Karma and my wife's VW as well once the warranty expires. The people at Karma are friendly, honest, and do good work. I can't recommend them enough.

My little black Beetle was dead, and Jonathan brought it back to life! He spent 3 days checking EVERYTHING to find a disconnected wire - no one else had a clue. I was already looking at car ads, because I was sure I was going to be in the market for one. He is a great guy - and does he know his VW'S! I'll never go anywhere else. Oh, Ana is awesome, too!

Recently had the check engine light come on in my Jetta. Took it to Karma, and was diagnosed with bad glow plug, which had been replaced once before by the dealer, 60k miles ago. When they took out the old plug, it turned out that the dealer had cross-threaded the plug but cranked it in anyways, ruining the threads and making it impossible to put in a new glow plug. Karma went above and beyond, buying specialized tools (at their expense) and sourcing an obscure part to re-thread the head. Their efforts at repairing, instead of replacing, the engine head literally saved me thousands of dollars. Their location is hard to find, located behind Coyote's Mexican Resaturant. It is convenient to the Avondale MARTA station, about a 5 minute walk. I'll definitely be a repeat, loyal customer after this positive experience with a shop that I can trust.

I paid $1800 and my car had the same problems it started with. They tried to get me to pay more after that. They wanted to "spend more time" with my car. They charged me $45 to turn off the check engine light, which came back on within 24 hours. When I brought it back due to my 12-month warranty I had a brand new list of things that were wrong with it... HOW? I definitely don't trust these people and feel like they've taken advantage of me.

Excellent shop. They've got it all, competent, fair, friendly, and efficient. I will not take my VW anywhere else now that I've found them. My repair was complicated and expensive... the dealer wanted $4500 and a month to do it. Actually, the mechanic at the dealer told me he'd rather not tackle the job. Karma did the job for almost half the price, did it in a week, (only because some parts had to be ordered) and called me back promptly with updates and estimates. The best part is that the job was done correctly the first time, from diagnosis to repair, and there was no stress involved at all. Thank you Karma!

This is absolutely the best mechanic I have ever found. It might not look like much from the outside but the people are very friendly, very honest and obviously know what they're doing. I've had my GTI in there several times and I'm always blown away by their level of professional service and personal treatment. Don't take your VW anywhere else, I've heard some horror stories about other shops, no matter where you live in Atlanta it would be worth your time to come to Karma.

This business is one of the best that I have ever done business with! I am a single mother with 2 small children. Last Tuesday my VW broke down while driving with the kids in the worst part of Atlanta. I didn't have very much money to work with and was almost certain that any clutch work would be well over into the $800-$1000 range if not more. I went to Google and did a search of car repair shops that work on VWs. From the list that I had there were several places that would'nt do the work because of the detail involved. After several of the places told me to call Karma VW, I figured that it must be a great place. So I called and Karma VW fixed my car literally in a couple hours of ordering the part that was needed by the dealer. I didn't even ask them to order the part. Before I even called them to confirm that the wrecker had delivered my car, they were already on the bull horn waiting for the part to be delivered. The part was delivered late in the evening right before they closed and the work on my car was completed an hour after the opened the next day. My total bill was not $800-$1000 but only $57 bucks! I love them and the fact that they didn't rip me off. Thank God For Karma!!!! Not because of cheap bill but because of their integrity! Oh! I almost forgot! They also took my rental car back to Enterprise for me! You can't beat that with a stick!

I am an auto repair phobe...paranoid that when they see the blonde girl coming that I will be overrepaired, overcharged and taken advantage of. But these guys are straight up about the problems, prices, priorities and consequences of my choices. They protected me like I was their little sister and treated my car like it was their own. Prices are totally fair. They earned my loyalty!

Best shop I have ever been to! Fair prices, enthusiastic, very experienced owner/mechanic who deals with you 1:1 and with integrity. He even REFUSED to do some work ...saying "...it really is not needed..."!!! And my 76 Beetle runs like a sewing machine now!
