Kauffman Tire

I've used the Kaufman on Peachtree Parkway in Suwanee for years. They do good work but are always trying to sell you something. They just look at your mileage and say you need this or that without examining the vehicle. One time they tried to sell me struts that I had already purchased earlier in the year. Maybe they need a better record keeping system. They do the work just fine. Their tires wear out more quickly if not rotated regularly. I am not sure if I totally trust their recommendation. But, when fixing a tire I know that needs fixing, they do a fine job. I would get a second opinion before spending on a large job with them.

Took my car in for an oil change recently and while I was waiting the service guy comes out and tells me my battery is no good and needs to be replaced. I tell him I just bought the battery from him last year! He told me I didn't because it wasn't their brand. It wasn't because at the time they were out of my size so they went and bought one from NAPA for my car. He went and checked the records then came back and told me he was sorry they made a mistake in testing my battery and now it is just fine! What BS! They were trying to sell me a new one because they thought the old one was not theirs. I will not go back to them!

I brought my vehicle here for an oil change and tire rotation. While I was at the counter paying the bill, the tech came in and said "can you believe I had to put 8 quarts of oil in your car?", I was shocked. My car only takes 6 qts. So I told them to check the specs, and he insisted it took 8. Wrong Answer. Anyway, I checked with the dealership and they said the car only takes 6 qts. About a month later, I noticed one of my tires needed air so, I pull up to the air pump at the local gas station and to my surprise discover that they had bolted the hubcaps on wrong covering the valve stems, so I couldn't even put air in the tire. I have NEVER seen such incompetence and laziness anywhere else.

My rear tire on the passenger side of my car had been causing my vehicle to shake for a couple of weeks. Thus, I googled tire companies near where I work in Duluth so that I could (hopefully) take my car there after I was off work at 5 pm. Kauffman Tire on Pleasant Hill Road had received many positive reviews, and through their website I was even able to enter the year, make, and model of my car and see tires what were available as well as their cost. I arrived at Kauffman the next day and was told by the technician that my tire had become separated from my car. While he recommended that I replace the struts, I just asked for a replacement tire and oil change. The price for both was reasonable, and I did not have to wait too long before my car was finished. Now, my car runs smoothly! I would recommend them to anyone who needs new tires!

Gerald Allen, my service writer took great care of my wife's car and carefully explained to me upcoming issues so there would be no surprises down the road. The team here is very friendly and efficient. We were fixed up and back on the road safely in no time at all. The work was completed in less time than estimated and the price for the services performed was very reasonable. I will gladly recommend Gerald and his team to all of my friends and family.
